Who runs this site
Plain Buy Guides is run by one independent publisher. We are not owned by, paid by or partnered with any brand we write about. Amazon is the only company we have an affiliate relationship with, and it has no say in what we write.
How picks are made
Our fine print study counts what those maker documents say about warranties, placement, upkeep and battery limits across the 659 guides we had published when it was run, with the data free to download.
Our guides compare public product information, including manufacturer specifications, manuals and retail listings. Consult the sources and stated limits on the individual guide: available documents and the scope of review differ by product. A manufacturer's claim is not our measurement, and a calculator result is an estimate from its stated inputs, not a product test. Conflicting or missing information can limit a recommendation; confirm purchase-critical details for the exact model and region.
We do not claim to independently verify safety certifications or warranty coverage for every product. Product specifications alone do not establish durability, real-world performance or a representative pattern of owner experience.
