Best walking pad with incline: one slim pad and two folding treadmills
Decide between a slim pad and a folding treadmill, then measure the room and the outlet
Only one of these three is a slim pad; the other two are folding treadmills. Sunny lists the SF-T722069 with a 45.7 by 16 inch deck and a top speed of 3.7 mph. The Active 300 has a 16 by 50 inch belt and runs 1 to 9 mph, and the OneClick-Fold has a 20.1 by 53.1 inch belt and runs 0.6 to 10 mph. Amazon's title for the OneClick-Fold says “Walking Pad”, so judge each model by its speed range and size, not its label.

All three manuals ask for 8 feet of clear space behind the machine and 2 feet on each side, and all three forbid a GFCI outlet. They also rule out a generator or a UPS, and each says to use a properly grounded outlet that matches the plug, with no adapter. The SF-T722069 manual specifies a 10 amp supply at 100 to 120 volts, the OneClick-Fold's manual 15 amps at 100 to 120 volts, and the Active 300's manual 120 volts.

A slim pad for under a desk: Sunny SF-T722069
Sunny's page lists six automatic incline levels, 0.5 to 3.7 mph, 1.5 peak horsepower and user weights from 99 to 265 lb. It gives the incline in degrees, 1.67 to 3.81, while Amazon's title says 7 percent, so ask Sunny for the percentage if it matters to you. The manual says to lubricate the belt before first use, then every 2 to 6 months by weekly hours, and the pad beeps and shows an OIL icon every 188 miles. Sunny gives 3 years on the frame and 180 days on other parts, and its policy adds 1 year on a treadmill motor.

A folding treadmill with side rails: Sunny Active 300
Sunny describes a 2 HP brushless motor (its spec table says 2 peak HP), 1 to 9 mph, and three manual incline levels of 0.4, 3 and 4.7 percent. It weighs 100.3 lb, measures 62.6 by 28.1 by 52 inches open and folds to 38 by 28.1 by 53.3 inches (length, width, height), so it will not slide under a desk. The manual asks for lubrication every month above 5 hours of use a week, every 45 days at 3 to 5 hours and every 2 months below that. The user limit is 300 lb, and pulling the safety key stops the belt.

A wide belt with a 15 percent incline: Sunny OneClick-Fold
Sunny's page lists a 2.5 peak HP brushless motor, 0.6 to 10 mph, 15 auto incline levels up to 15 percent and a 300 lb user limit, and says it arrives fully assembled. The manual still recommends two people to lift it from the carton. Its manual says to set the incline to level 0 and switch the power off before folding. Lubricate every 5 months below 3 hours of use a week, every 2 months at 4 to 7 hours and monthly above 7.

Before you order
- Who may use it. All three manuals say to keep children under 13 and pets away and to see a physician before starting an exercise program, and none is suitable for therapeutic use. The SF-T722069 manual adds that it is for adult use only.
- Safety key. Each manual describes a safety key that stops the belt when it is pulled out, and each says to clip it to your clothing before you start.
- Rest breaks. To prolong the machine's life, the SF-T722069 manual suggests powering it off for 10 minutes every 2 hours, and the Active 300 and OneClick-Fold manuals 10 minutes every hour, so plan long desk sessions around that.
- Indoors only. The manuals say indoor, home or household use only, and each electrical warning says never to expose the machine to rain, moisture or high humidity.
- Warranty. Sunny's policy covers non-commercial use by the original owner and asks for the original receipt from an authorized distributor or reseller. Commercial or industrial use, including shared facilities in apartments, condos and residential associations, voids it, and repairs exclude shipping, labor and assembly. The policy does not name Amazon, so ask Sunny whether your seller qualifies.
