Check for AA255W, the wheeled version
The current Amazon listing and maker page identify AA255W, with a wheel base, carry handle and nominal 2.5-gallon tank. Do not assume specifications for the older AA255 are identical. The maker lists a 9.77-pound tool weight. This is a compact option for routine small cleanups and car interiors, with a smaller container to empty more often when the mess is large.
Car tools are useful only if they fit the space
The listed kit includes car and crevice tools, detail and dusting brushes, utility and floor/squeegee tools, and three extension wands. That is useful variety for a small vacuum, but an included crevice tool is not guaranteed to fit every gap between a seat and console. Check the intended space and any extra attachment's exact connection before buying.
The actual hose is six feet long and 1.25 inches in diameter; the power cord is twelve feet. Plan where the machine and outlet will sit before cleaning around a whole vehicle. The two lengths add to eighteen feet, but that arithmetic is not a promise of an eighteen-foot working radius around obstacles.
Change the filter before changing the job
The AA255W manual specifies a reusable cloth filter for dry pickup and a foam filter for liquids. Unplug the vacuum before the change, and remove the cloth filter before installing the wet setup. After liquid pickup, empty, clean and dry the container as instructed. The float stops suction at capacity, which is another reason not to treat nominal tank volume as usable liquid capacity.
The manual warns against flammable, explosive and toxic materials. The included cloth and foam filters do not make this a hazardous-dust extractor. This guide is a buying aid, not a replacement for the complete safety and operating instructions supplied with the model.
Avoid a misleading horsepower or airflow comparison
The maker labels this a two-peak-HP vacuum and explains that peak horsepower is not its operating output. Its 53-CFM figure is measured at the vacuum, whereas some larger Vacmaster models publish airflow at the hose end. Those different test positions prevent a simple like-for-like ranking from the numbers alone. We have not measured its suction, noise or cleaning speed.
