What the two-camera set contains and which model it is
Amazon's details give this ASIN as Model Name BS-TOUCH-2CAM-US and Model Number VDM70-2CAM, brand Babysense, UPC 810114530498. The Babysense product page gives the same model name, BS-TOUCH-2CAM-US, and the User Guide's specification page gives the product model as VDM70. The manufacturer field on Amazon reads Hisense Ltd.
The User Guide's box list for the Touch +2 version is one 7-inch parent unit, two cameras, three power adapters, a user guide, two wall mounts, two mounting brackets, six drywall anchors and six screws. Amazon's list agrees on the parent unit, two cameras, two wall mounts and three power adapters. A microSD card is not included; the guide and the listing both say so.
The guide says the cameras are already paired with the parent unit when supplied, and the maker's FAQ says local viewing works out of the box. The maker's FAQ and the guide both say the parent unit can pair with up to four cameras in total, so this kit leaves room for two more.
Local mode and app mode, and what each one needs
The User Guide describes a View Mode setting that switches between Local Mode, where the camera connects to the parent unit only, and Dual Mode, where the camera connects to both the app and the parent unit. The maker page describes local monitoring as working out of the box, up to 1,000 feet, with no internet needed, and remote viewing through the Babysense app over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
Amazon's first bullet words this differently: it says both modes operate over a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, not compatible with 5 GHz, and that the app is available in the USA only. The guide's connectivity line reads Wi-Fi 6, 2.4 GHz, 802.11b/g/n/ax. If you intend to use the monitor with no home Wi-Fi at all, ask Babysense to confirm how local mode connects before relying on it.
The maker page and listing both say the app has no subscription or fees, and the maker page describes family sharing so that more than one person can watch through the app. The listing says cry, sound and motion alerts and the Focus Area feature are available through the app. The guide lists supported phones as Android 11.0 or iOS 13.0 and above.
Cameras, screen and range
The guide's camera specifications give 2560 by 1440 resolution, two lenses of 3.0 mm and 6.3 mm, both F2.0, and a diagonal field of view of 110 to 18 degrees. Pan runs from 120 degrees left to 120 degrees right and tilt from 15 degrees down to 30 degrees up. The maker page calls the two lenses 4MP wide-angle and telephoto, with up to 6x hybrid zoom.
The parent unit has a 7-inch IPS touchscreen with split-screen viewing. The guide's overview shows a microphone, light sensor, power button and speaker on the parent unit, and infrared LEDs, a night light, microphone, speaker, reset button, temperature and humidity sensor and microSD socket on each camera. Each camera is given as 3.15 by 4.72 inches and 8.47 ounces; the parent unit as 7.09 by 4.03 by 2.17 inches and 14.1 ounces.
Range is given as 1,000 feet in open space in the guide and up to 1,000 feet on the maker page. The guide's safety section says monitor range is always measured in open space and that obstacles such as concrete walls shorten it, and it asks you to avoid mounting a camera where thick walls sit between camera and parent unit.
Battery figures differ by source
The parent unit has a built-in, non-removable 5200mAh lithium-ion battery according to the guide and the maker page. How long it lasts is stated differently by each of the three sources. The guide's specification page says up to 30 hours on standby and 10 hours with the screen on. The maker page says up to 20 hours in VOX mode or 12 hours of continuous screen time.
On Amazon, the bullets say up to 20 hours, the details table says a battery average life of 30 hours, and the product description panel shows a 12-hour battery life. We report all of them rather than pick one. For planning, the lowest screen-on figure in any source is the guide's 10 hours.
The guide says a full charge takes approximately 10 hours, that the monitor can be used normally while charging, and that Babysense recommends keeping the parent unit plugged in whenever possible. A red battery icon and a beep warn of low charge.
Placement and power
The guide's set-up page says the camera can sit on a flat surface or be wall-mounted, and it sets out how far the camera should be from the crib and where it must not be placed. Read those instructions in the guide itself before choosing a spot; we do not restate them here.
Each camera runs from its own power adapter, so each needs an outlet within cord reach. The guide and the maker page give the adapter as input 100 to 240 V AC, 0.6 A maximum, output 5 V at 2 A, model SG-050200012AU. The guide says to use only the adapters in the box.
Working temperature is given as 32 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. The guide describes the product as for indoor use only and says to keep it at least 5 feet from other electronics such as microwave ovens or Wi-Fi routers to avoid interference.
Alerts, extras and the warranty
The guide's menu lists camera settings for a No Face Detection Alert and auto tracking, and monitor settings for VOX, no-connection and low-battery alert tones, temperature, time and a care reminder. These are the maker's names for its features, and we make no claim about what they detect. Read the guide's safety pages before relying on any alert.
Other features named across the guide and maker page are two-way talk, lullabies and sounds controlled from the parent unit or the app, a night light on the camera, and temperature and humidity readings. The maker page describes Smart Scan as alternating audio between cameras every 10 seconds in one place and every 15 seconds in another on the same page.
The guide gives a one-year warranty from the original purchase date against defects in workmanship and materials, and says to keep your purchase receipt. Amazon's warranty field also says 1 year. Support is by email or a US toll-free number listed in the guide.
