Blender Fine Print product guide
Breville BBL620SIL Fresh & Furious Blender
Smoothie and ice programs with a fifty-ounce Tritan jug
Consider the BBL620SIL for its three named food programs, five speeds and Auto Clean routine. The jug is Tritan rather than glass. Do not choose it for processing hot liquids: the manual prohibits them, even though soup appears in marketing descriptions.

Choose it for cool ingredients, not hot soup processing
The Fresh & Furious BBL620SIL offers smoothie and ice-focused controls, but its manual specifically says not to process hot or boiling liquids and to let them cool before putting them in the jug. Marketing references to soups do not override that prohibition. If blending a hot mixture directly is essential to your routine, choose a model whose exact instructions permit it rather than relying on a reviewer's experience.
The fifty-ounce jug is Tritan, not glass
Breville identifies a nominal 50-ounce, 1.5-liter Tritan jug and a painted plastic/ABS base with stainless-steel blades. A silver finish is not evidence of a metal body or glass container. The current maker dimensions are 6.9 inches wide, 8.3 inches deep and 17.7 inches high, with a stated weight of 8.82 pounds. Measure assembled storage height and leave working space for the lid and jug.
Nine task controls does not mean nine recipe presets
The maker names dedicated Smoothie, Green Smoothie and Ice Crush programs, five speed settings and Auto Clean. Its LCD counts up for speed settings and down for programmed settings. This is more precise than repeating the listing's broad nine-program language. The supplied lid has a ring pull and inner measuring cap; check that its handling and the actual controls suit you rather than assuming every color or production revision has identical details.
Auto Clean still ends with a rinse
The manual recommends prompt cleaning so residue does not dry onto the jug and blades. It describes Auto Clean with warm water, adding a little dish detergent for sticky ingredients, then rinsing and further washing as needed. It permits the jug in the dishwasher on a standard cycle, but requires the lid and inner measuring cap on the top shelf. It also warns that regular dishwasher exposure can shorten parts' life.
Wipe the unplugged motor base with a soft damp cloth instead of immersing it. Avoid abrasive cleaners and handle sharp blades carefully. The manual allows storing the jug on the base or beside it and recommends leaving the lid off for airflow. A cleaning button is useful, but it is not a promise of zero maintenance or a reason to reach into the blade area.
Check revision compatibility before adding accessories
Breville describes Vac Q vacuum-pump compatibility for the latest version and lists replacement lids and jugs by production-code range. The pump is not listed as part of the standard included kit. Confirm the exact revision before buying an accessory. The published rating is 1,100 watts at 110–120V; we have not measured blending speed, noise or long-term reliability and do not turn the maker's quiet-performance wording into a comparative test result.
