One brushless drill/driver with two 2Ah batteries

CRAFTSMAN's kit page lists the V20 BRUSHLESS RP 1/2 in. drill/driver, two CMCB202 V20 20V MAX 2.0Ah batteries, a CMCB102 V20 charger and a storage bag. Amazon's included components match. CRAFTSMAN gives the kit as 6.55 lb; Amazon lists 6.39 lb.

The manual's intended-use statement describes the CMCD725 as a drill/driver for drilling and screwdriving; the related CMCD726 adds hammerdrilling, but that model is not in this kit. If you need a hammer mode for masonry, this is not the kit for it.

Power, speeds and CRAFTSMAN's comparisons

CRAFTSMAN rates the drill at up to 495 unit watts out with two speeds, 0 to 500 and 0 to 2,000 rpm, a 1/2 in. chuck and fifteen clutch settings. The manual confirms speed 1 is high torque, selected by sliding the switch back, and speed 2 is high speed.

CRAFTSMAN's page carries comparison claims and a figure of 130 holes per charge. Its footnotes say the comparisons are against the older CMCD700 on the same CMCB202 battery, drilling 3/4 in. Speed Bore holes in 2x SPF lumber in speed 2, so read them as the maker's own test conditions.

Capacity figures on the listing are not from CRAFTSMAN

Amazon's details list a wood drilling capacity of 0.65 in. and a metal capacity of 1.3 in. Neither figure appears on the CRAFTSMAN kit page or in the manual pages read for this guide, so treat both numbers as unconfirmed listing data rather than a maker rating.

The manual pages read give the clutch range as 1 to 15 with a separate drill position, and describe the CMCD725 as a drill/driver only. For bit-size limits in wood, metal or masonry, check the manual supplied in the box; this guide found no capacity table in the pages read.

Chuck, bit holders, belt hook and VersaTrack

The manual says the keyless chuck is unlocked after the first counterclockwise click, so tighten it fully before drilling. The drill comes with two magnetic bit holders for bit tips and small accessories, which the manual describes among the tool's features.

A belt hook is listed in the manual. The drill also has a VersaTrack hang-hook mounting point; the manual says the hook is rated for tools up to 20 lb and that a Trackwall rail should not carry more than 75 lb per linear foot.

Care

The manual's maintenance page asks you to blow dust out of the vents at least once a week. Beyond that routine, it points to CRAFTSMAN for service; the pages read for this guide did not cover cleaning agents or repair procedures, so follow the manual in the box.

Because the manual pages read cover intended use, clutch and speed selection, the chuck, bit holders, hooks and vent cleaning only, anything else about operating limits, charging temperatures or battery care should be taken from the full manual rather than this guide.

Warranty and the barcode mismatch

CRAFTSMAN's kit page lists a three-year limited warranty, and the manual's three-year limited warranty section points to craftsman.com for full terms and excludes products sold in Latin America.

CRAFTSMAN's specification table shows a barcode of 885912000000, which does not match the Amazon UPC 885911964715. The kit code CMCD725D2 and the component list match exactly, but check the box label if the code matters to you for registration or a warranty claim.
