CRAFTSMAN CMCK200C2 V20 Cordless Drill/Driver and Impact Driver Combo Kit
Household drilling and screw driving on the CRAFTSMAN V20 system
This kit pairs CRAFTSMAN's brushed CMCD700 drill/driver with the CMCF800 impact driver, two V20 batteries, a charger, a bag and two bits. CRAFTSMAN lists the batteries as 1.5Ah while Amazon says 2Ah. The drill has no hammer mode. CRAFTSMAN warrants the tools for three years and batteries for two.

Fit and limits
Strengths

Caveats

Two brushed V20 tools, two batteries and a bag
CRAFTSMAN's kit page, whose barcode matches the Amazon UPC, lists one CMCD700 1/2 in. drill/driver, one CMCF800 1/4 in. impact driver, two V20 20V MAX lithium-ion batteries, a V20 charger, a storage bag, a PH #2 bit and a double-sided bit. CRAFTSMAN's specification table lists the motor type as brushed.
CRAFTSMAN gives the assembled kit as 8.4 lb and eight pieces; Amazon lists 8.36 lb. The kit targets drilling and screw driving rather than masonry: the drill manual describes clutch and drill positions only, with no hammer mode.
Battery size: 1.5Ah or 2Ah?
CRAFTSMAN's page title and specification table list the two batteries as 1.5Ah. Amazon's details table gives a battery capacity of 2 amp-hours. Neither source names the battery model numbers, so you cannot resolve the difference from the listing alone.
Check the label on the packs when the kit arrives. The drill manual's warranty section lists different free-service periods for different CRAFTSMAN battery models, so the exact pack model also matters for coverage.
The CMCD700 drill/driver
CRAFTSMAN rates the CMCD700 at 280 unit watts out with two speeds, 0 to 350 and 0 to 1,500 rpm. The manual describes a keyless chuck that is fully tightened after seven clicks and a mode collar with clutch settings 1 to 15 plus a drill position.
The manual says speed 1 is selected by sliding the switch back away from the chuck, and it gives pilot-hole advice for larger holes in steel. The manual's intended-use page confirms there is no hammer mode, so masonry work is outside this drill's design.
The CMCF800 impact driver
CRAFTSMAN rates the CMCF800 at 1,460 in-lbs of torque, 2,800 rpm and 3,100 impacts per minute. We did not read the CMCF800 manual, so accessory limits and any modes beyond these figures are not covered here.
Both tools share the V20 battery system. The drill manual also describes a VersaTrack hang hook for hanging the tool on CRAFTSMAN's VersaTrack wall system, which is useful if you already have that storage rail.
Charging and care
The drill manual describes a hot/cold pack delay shown by a blinking green light with a solid red light, and an electronic protection system for the tool. Charging outside the pack's temperature range is delayed rather than refused, per the manual.
Blow dust out of the vents with dry air at least weekly, per the manual. Beyond that, the manual's maintenance page carries the cleaning and service instructions, which we did not record in detail, so read it before the first clean.
Warranty: three years on tools, two on batteries
CRAFTSMAN's kit page lists a three-year limited warranty. The drill manual gives three years for the tool and two years for batteries, with a free-service table that gives CMCB201, CMCB2011 and CMCB2015 packs two years and CMCB202, CMCB204, CMCB205 and CMCB206 packs three years.
The manual also lists a ninety-day money-back guarantee and says the warranty does not apply to products sold in Latin America. Keep your receipt, since the money-back guarantee and any claim depend on it.
