Brushless drill/driver and impact driver with two batteries
CRAFTSMAN's kit page lists one CMCD713 drill/driver, one CMCF813 brushless impact driver, two V20 20V MAX lithium-ion batteries, a V20 charger and a storage bag. Amazon's included components match. CRAFTSMAN lists both motors as BRUSHLESS RP and the kit at 8.35 lb and 12.88 in. long; Amazon gives 8.27 lb.
CRAFTSMAN's page carries runtime claims for both tools. Its footnotes say those comparisons are against the older CMCD700 and CMCF800 on a 1.5Ah battery, so they compare CRAFTSMAN's own brushed tools rather than other brands.
Battery size and barcode do not agree
CRAFTSMAN's specification table lists 2.0Ah batteries. Amazon's details table gives a battery capacity of 1.5 amp-hours and, in another field, says one battery is included, while its components line lists two. Neither source names the battery model, so check the pack labels on arrival.
The barcode on CRAFTSMAN's page, 885911548830, differs from the UPC on this Amazon listing, 885911818919. The kit code CMCK211C2 and the tool list match exactly, so the listing appears to be the same kit, but the differing codes are another reason to confirm the battery size in the box.
The CMCD713 drill/driver
CRAFTSMAN rates the CMCD713 at 350 unit watts out with two speeds, 0 to 600 and 0 to 1,900 rpm. The manual describes clutch settings 1 to 15 plus a drill position and a chuck that is tight after four to six clicks.
Speed 1 is selected by sliding the switch back away from the chuck, per the manual. There is no hammer mode, so masonry work is outside this drill's design. The worklight turns off twenty seconds after the trigger is released.
The CMCF813 impact driver
CRAFTSMAN rates the CMCF813 at 1,500 in-lbs of torque, 2,800 rpm and 3,500 impacts per minute. We did not read the CMCF813 manual, so accessory limits and any modes are not covered beyond these maker figures.
CRAFTSMAN says both tools can hang on its VersaTrack wall system using clips sold separately. The drill manual explains the hang hook is not a belt hook, that each hook carries no more than 20 lb, and that a Trackwall rail should not carry more than 75 lb per linear foot.
Charging and care from the manual
The drill manual gives mounting rules for the CMCB101 charger and says it is not compatible with VersaTrack, so the charger stays on a bench or wall while the tools hang. Read that page before mounting the charger.
Blow dust out of the vents with dry air at least weekly, per the manual. The manual's maintenance page carries the cleaning instructions, which we did not record in detail. The worklight timing above is the manual's figure.
Warranty: three years, two on batteries
CRAFTSMAN's kit page lists a three-year limited warranty. The CMCD713 manual gives three years for the tool and two years for batteries, so the packs run out of coverage a year before the tools.
Read the manual's warranty page for the claim process and exclusions, which we did not record in detail, and keep your receipt for any claim. The barcode difference above is another reason to keep the packaging.
