A hands-on starting point with a manual milk frother
The black-and-stainless EC260BK is the Stilosa manual espresso machine. De'Longhi lists a stainless-steel boiler, fifteen-bar pump, manual milk frother and filters for one or two espressos. Choose it if you want to prepare coffee and texture milk yourself. The pump rating is a maker specification, not proof of a particular flavor, extraction pressure at the coffee or a measured service life.
There is no integrated grinder in the documented package. A whole-bean setup therefore needs a separate grinder, counter space and the willingness to learn preparation. The machine also has a supported paper-pod route described below. Neither route turns its manual frother into an automatic milk system, and this guide does not claim a tested warm-up time or effortless results for every beginner.
ESE paper pods are supported, not merely guessed from a listing
De'Longhi's US EC260BK support page explicitly says ESE pods can be used with the one-cup filter. That is clearer than the retail box table's ambiguous wording about single and double pod filters. ESE refers to a paper coffee pod; it does not establish compatibility with Nespresso, Keurig or other capsules. Buy the stated format and follow the exact filter instructions.
The maker also lists single-espresso and double-espresso filters for ground coffee. The inspected pages do not establish a replacement-basket diameter or confirm every aftermarket portafilter advertised for this family. Check exact EC260BK compatibility before budgeting for upgrades. An accessory checklist is more useful here than assuming that a nominal size guarantees a fit.
Cup clearance is different from cabinet clearance
The model-specific support answer says a cup up to 4¼ inches, or 110 millimeters, can fit beneath the spouts when the drip-tray assembly is removed. That is a conditional clearance claim, not a promise that every mug or scale-and-cup combination will fit. Measure your actual cup and allow for the operating instructions and spill collection when changing the tray arrangement.
The retail listing labels the body 8.07 inches deep, 13.5 wide and 11.22 high; the maker's technical panel lists 13.5 by 8.07 by 11.22 without clearly naming the axes. We do not silently swap the footprint dimensions. Confirm the assembled unit before a tight-space purchase and allow room to use the handle, milk jug and water tank rather than planning from height alone.
Check the kit and the US rating
De'Longhi lists the machine, portafilter, tamper, single and double filters, measuring spoon, instruction manual and quick-start guide. A milk jug is not named in that included-kit list, so confirm the seller's bundle before assuming one is supplied. Its current technical data give a 33.81-ounce tank, 8.61-pound weight and 1,100-watt rating at 120V and 60Hz.
The exact retail table gives 110V instead, so use the purchased unit's rating label and regional documentation for electrical requirements. We do not infer a universal-voltage machine from that discrepancy. The maker advertises one year of warranty plus an additional year with registration; check the applicable eligibility and terms rather than assuming every seller automatically provides two years.
Leave time for maintenance and keep the source limits in view
The official Stilosa web help includes a descaling walkthrough with preparation, a collection container, solution flow and pauses, followed by fresh-water rinse stages. It directs readers to the descaler label and warns against an unsuitable product or incorrect procedure. That is a reason to plan for maintenance, not to improvise a cleaning chemical or apply a fixed interval borrowed from a different machine.
The US support page's PDF attachment was blocked by Chrome during this audit and was not read. The maker product page, model-specific FAQs and web descaling guidance were readable.
