A 3-speed hammer drill, an impact driver and two 4Ah packs

Both DEWALT's kit page and the Amazon listing include a DCD1007 20V MAX XR 1/2 in. hammer drill, two DCB2104 4Ah batteries, a DCB1104 charger, a side handle and a contractor bag. Amazon also lists a belt hook, and gives the kit as 11.6 lb and 14.25 by 11.02 by 5.12 in.

The hammer drill is the part of this kit the documents agree on. Its own manual, attached to the listing, was read for this guide. The impact driver is where the sources disagree, and that is worth settling before you buy if you need the higher torque figure.

Which impact driver is in the box? The sources disagree

DEWALT's kit page describes the impact driver as the DCF860, rated up to 2,500 in-lbs of max torque and up to 3,800 rpm, but the include list on the same page names a DCF845. Amazon's component list and impact driver model field name the DCF860, while its bullets give 1,825 in-lbs and 3,400 rpm labelled as DCF845 figures.

The impact driver manual attached to the listing covers the DCF845, DCF850, DCF809, DCF840 and DCF787, and never names the DCF860. Neither DEWALT's page nor the listing resolves the conflict, so check the model printed on the tool or carton, or ask the seller, before counting on the 2,500 in-lb figure.

What the DCD1007 manual says about modes, speeds and capacity

The manual lists a mode collar with drilling, clutch settings 1 to 11 for screwdriving, and hammerdrilling, plus a three-position speed selector where speed 1 gives the most torque and speed 3 the most speed. It notes that there is no clutch action in the drill or hammerdrill positions and that speeds should not be changed while the tool is running.

The manual's capacity table for the DCD1007 lists 1-1/2 in. auger and paddle bits, 3-5/8 in. self-feed and 5 in. hole saws in wood; 1/2 in. twist, 4 in. hole saw and a #9 step bit in sheet metal; a 1 in. carbide hole cutter in plate steel; and 1/2 in. carbide percussion bits in masonry.

Side handle, anti-rotation and the runtime claim

The manual calls this a high-torque drill and tells users to always operate it with the side handle properly installed and to hold it with both hands; the side handle fits in several positions. The drill also has an ANTI-ROTATION system with a red indicator light, and the manual explains how that system behaves.

Both documents claim up to 275 holes per charge and a 2.6 second speed of application, but the footnotes differ. Amazon says the tests used the DCB2104 battery, which this kit includes; DEWALT's kit page says they used a DCB2108 8Ah battery, which is not in this kit. Treat the runtime claim as unconfirmed for the 4Ah packs in this box.

Charging, worklight and cleaning

The manual says to charge only when the air is between 40°F and 104°F, with 65°F to 75°F giving the longest battery life, and describes a hot/cold pack delay in the charger. It also says not to store the tool and battery pack in places where temperatures reach or exceed 104°F.

The pivoting worklight has three detent positions and off, on and twenty-minute modes. The manual asks owners to blow dust out of the air vents at least once a week, to clean with a cloth dampened with water and mild soap, and to avoid solvents. It states that the worklight, charger and batteries are not user-serviceable.

Warranty fields do not match

Amazon's warranty field lists a three-year limited warranty, one year of free service and a ninety-day money-back period. DEWALT's DCK2112QQ2 kit page shows its warranty field as No Warranty at the time it was read, so the two documents disagree.

The DCD1007 manual carries a three-year limited warranty heading that points to DEWALT's warranty page for full terms and says it does not apply to products sold in Latin America. Because the kit page and listing disagree, confirm coverage with DEWALT or the seller and keep the receipt.
