Five tools, one battery, and the battery size is disputed

DEWALT's kit page lists a DCD777 brushless 1/2 in. drill/driver, a DCF787 1/4 in. impact driver, a DCS387 compact reciprocating saw, a DCS391 6-1/2 in. circular saw, a DCS356 brushless three-speed oscillating multi-tool, one DCB203 20V MAX 2.0Ah battery and a charger. No bag is listed on DEWALT's page.

The Amazon title and one bullet say the kit includes a 5Ah battery. Amazon's own included-components line, like DEWALT's page, names a DCB203 2Ah battery and a DCB1102 charger. Plan on the 2Ah pack unless the box you receive says otherwise; a single small battery shared across five tools, including a circular saw, limits how much cutting you can do per charge.

The drill and impact driver

DEWALT's DCD777B page lists a brushless motor, a 1,600 rpm maximum speed, fifteen clutch settings, a 7.52 in. front-to-back length, 2.83 lb without battery and an LED with a twenty-second delay. Amazon's bullet credits the drill with 340 unit watts out; the DEWALT pages read for this kit do not state that figure.

For the DCF787 impact driver, the DEWALT kit page lists it as included; Amazon's bullets and details give 1,500 in-lbs of torque. No DEWALT page or manual for the DCF787 was read for this guide, so treat the torque figure as listing information.

The two saws have brushed motors

DEWALT lists both saws with brushed motors. The DCS391 circular saw runs at 5,150 rpm, bevels from 0 to 50 degrees, has a magnesium shoe, comes with a blade and weighs 7.58 lb as a bare tool, per its DEWALT page.

The DCS387 compact reciprocating saw is 14 in. long in DEWALT's features, runs at up to 2,900 strokes per minute with a 1-1/8 in. stroke, has a four-position blade clamp and weighs 5.58 lb bare. Both saws draw on the same single battery as the other three tools.

The oscillating multi-tool

DEWALT's kit page describes the DCS356 as a brushless three-speed oscillating multi-tool. The DCS356 tool page and manual were not read for this guide, so accessory compatibility and blade-change details are not covered here.

Neither DEWALT's kit page nor Amazon's included-components line names any blades or sanding pads for the oscillating tool. If you need accessories to start work with it, check the box contents on arrival rather than assuming any are included, and confirm compatibility in DEWALT's documentation for the DCS356.

Weight and what is not in the box

Amazon lists the kit at 21.4 lb; DEWALT's kit page gives no total weight. The individual tool pages list 2.83 lb for the drill, 7.58 lb for the circular saw and 5.58 lb for the reciprocating saw, all without a battery. DEWALT's kit list does not name a bag or case.

With one battery, only one tool can run at a time and there is no spare to swap while the pack charges. Any additional battery would need to be a compatible DEWALT 20V MAX pack; the kit page names only the DCB203.

Warranty terms

DEWALT's kit page lists a three-year limited warranty, one year of free service and a ninety-day satisfaction guarantee. Amazon's bullet also states a three-year limited warranty for the tools in the set, so the sources agree on coverage length.

The tool manuals for this kit were not read, so detailed warranty exclusions are not summarized here. Keep the purchase record and check the warranty text supplied in the box or on DEWALT's warranty page before relying on free service or the satisfaction guarantee.
