A 1kWh, 27.6-pound station that can take extra batteries
The DELTA 3 is EcoFlow's 1,024Wh lithium iron phosphate power station, model EF-DL-H10-3 in the manual, about 27.6 lb and 15.7 by 8.0 by 11.2 inches. The box holds the power station, an AC charging cable, and manuals with a warranty card. The manual says the Solar to XT60i charging cable and the car charging cable are bought separately.
Its Extra Battery (XT150) port accepts EcoFlow's DELTA 3, DELTA Pro 3, DELTA 2, DELTA 2 Max and DELTA Max Smart Extra Batteries, listed by model in the manual. EcoFlow's page and the listing say capacity can reach 5kWh with extra batteries. The same port also accepts EcoFlow's 800W Alternator Charger, Smart Generators and PowerStream.
1,800W continuous, and what X-Boost really does
The manual rates AC output at 1,800W total with a 3,600W surge, and EcoFlow's page counts six AC outlets. X-Boost, EcoFlow's feature for running higher-wattage heating devices, is off by default and switched on in the app. The manual's table gives 2,600W with X-Boost at 120V, while EcoFlow's product page says 2,200W with X-Boost, so treat the higher figure cautiously.
The manual says X-Boost suits heating devices, does not support devices with voltage protection, and is unavailable while the unit is charging or in bypass mode. Other outputs are two USB-C at 100W each, two USB-A at 18W each, and 12V ports sharing 126W: a 10A car socket and two 3A DC5521 ports.
Charging: 1,500W from the wall, 500W from solar
AC input is 100 to 120V at up to 15A, and the manual gives a 1,500W maximum, adjustable in the app. EcoFlow's page and the listing quote a 56-minute full charge; the listing says that uses 500W solar plus 1,500W AC together and adds 80% in 30 minutes. Solar is used first when AC and solar are both connected.
The XT60i input handles solar at 11 to 60V, 15A and 500W, and 12V car charging at 8A with the vehicle started first. The manual warns to keep total panel open-circuit voltage within 60V and short-circuit current within 15A to avoid damage. EcoFlow's 800W alternator charger connects through the Extra Battery port.
UPS at 10 ms, and an AC timeout that can cut a fridge
The manual describes the DELTA 3 as a standby UPS with a 10 ms transfer time, and says it only works as a UPS when grid input exceeds the power drawn by connected loads, so the battery stays charged. EcoFlow's page says under 10 ms. An app option can disable grid bypass so outlets always run from the inverter.
The AC outlets turn off automatically after an idle period, which the manual warns can trigger with intermittent loads such as refrigerators. For continuous use, it says to set the AC timeout to never in the app and keep checking the battery. It also states the unit is not intended for life-sustaining medical equipment.
Temperatures and the storage rule tied to the warranty
The manual rates charging from 32°F to 113°F, discharging from 14°F to 113°F and storage from 14°F to 113°F, with 68°F to 86°F as optimal. EcoFlow's page and listing describe an IP65 battery pack, but the manual says not to get the product wet.
For long-term storage, the manual says to fully charge and then discharge to 60% every three months. It also warns that leaving the device uncharged or unused for more than six months will void the warranty, a condition to put on your calendar if this is a closet backup unit.
Cycle life, noise, app and warranty
The manual gives 80%-plus capacity after 4,000 cycles, and EcoFlow's page adds a ten-year lifespan claim. The listing quotes under 30 dB at 600W and under 40 dB at 1,200W, and the page says 30 dB under 600W; neither gives a test distance in what we read.
The manual lists 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for the EcoFlow app, which also controls the AC input limit, X-Boost and the grid-bypass setting. EcoFlow's page lists a five-year warranty and Amazon's field says five years; EcoFlow's warranty terms beyond the manual's six-month storage condition were not read.
