One 24V hammer drill with a large stacked battery

FLEX's product page lists the FX1271T-1H kit as the 1/2 in. two-speed hammer drill driver with Turbo mode, a 6.0Ah stacked-lithium battery, a 280W rapid charger, a FLEX case and attachments: side handle, bit holder and belt clip. Amazon names the battery as model FX0331-1.

FLEX describes this as part of its 24V system. Amazon lists the drill at 3.8 lb; the FLEX pages read do not give a weight, and only one battery is included, so plan for downtime while it charges.

Torque: the listing's variation label says 1,000

FLEX's page and manual rate the FX1271T at 1,400 in-lbs of maximum torque, and Amazon's title and details agree. The Amazon variation button selected for this ASIN, however, is labelled 1,000 In-Lbs w/6.0Ah, which does not match the model number or any other figure on the page.

Go by the model number FX1271T-1H and FLEX's 1,400 in-lbs rating, and check the box label when it arrives. Amazon's details also show a battery energy capacity of 1,920 Wh beside a 192 Wh watt-hour figure; the FLEX sources read do not state battery watt-hours.

Speeds, Turbo mode and the clutch

The manual lists normal speeds of 0 to 550 and 0 to 2,000 rpm, and Turbo speeds of 0 to 700 and 0 to 2,500 rpm, with impact rates of 0 to 32,000 blows per minute normally and up to 40,000 in Turbo. It says Turbo raises speed while torque stays the same, and drains the battery faster.

The FX1271T has 23 torque settings plus drill and hammer positions. The manual warns not to use hammer mode for wood, metal, ceramic or plastic, so the hammer setting is for masonry only.

Side handle and anti-kickback

The kit includes an auxiliary side handle, and the manual says to tighten it securely before every use. FLEX's full-metal ratcheting chuck has carbide teeth, per the product page.

An anti-kickback feature turns the drill off if it rotates suddenly and unexpectedly. The manual also describes a reverse protection function that stops the tool automatically when the drill rotates quickly, and says this is a protection measure rather than a fault.

Light signals and temperatures

The LED turns off about 10 seconds after the trigger is released. Rapid flashing means the tool or battery is overloaded or too hot and has shut off; slow flashing means the battery is low, per the manual.

The manual recommends operating between -4°F and 104°F and storing below 122°F. Its safety pages carry the handling rules, which we did not record in detail, so read them before the first use.

Warranty: the listing and the manual differ

Amazon's bullet promises a FLEX limited lifetime warranty for tools, batteries and chargers registered within 30 days of purchase through December 31, 2025. That promotional window had passed by the date of this check, and the listing does not say what applies to later purchases.

The FLEX manual read for this guide gives a five-year limited warranty on 24V tools, batteries and chargers when registered within 30 days, or three years without registration, with prepaid return to an authorized dealer. Confirm the current terms with FLEX before buying, and register promptly either way.
