Strengths

- The harness is integrated and padded with a hip belt and weight-levelling load management, according to the listing and Husqvarna's feature copy.
- Air purge and a variable throttle with a cruise control option are both named on Husqvarna's own feature list, not just in listing copy.
Caveats
- Husqvarna's own page gives two air-flow figures, 765 CFM in the copy and 452.03 cfm at the nozzle in the specification table.
- The PDF labelled User Manual on this listing is the operator's manual for the 345BT, a different model on platform BP152HV.
- Sound pressure at the operator's ear is 110 dB(A), and the listing's 45 dB noise field is not a Husqvarna figure.
A 51cc backpack blower, and what actually ships
The 150BT is Husqvarna's gas backpack blower built on a 51.7 cubic centimetre two-stroke engine, sold under Husqvarna part number 970 46 69-01, which is also the model number printed in the listing's details table. Husqvarna's equipment lines give a round nozzle, an integrated harness and no vacuum kit.
The listing says the box holds the backpack blower, blower tubing, an assembly tool, a user manual and a 2.6 ounce bottle of 50:1 fuel mix. That list is the listing's own, so check the carton against it when the machine arrives.
Husqvarna's own FAQ on that page is direct about the vacuum point: it answers that the 150BT does not support vacuum or mulching attachments. If you wanted one machine that both blows and collects, this is not it.
765 CFM in the copy, 452.03 cfm in the specification table
The headline air figure is everywhere. The listing's bullets and Husqvarna's own feature text and FAQ give 765 CFM of air flow and 270 MPH of air speed for the 150BT, and the listing's bullet adds 22 newtons of blowing force.
The specification table on the same Husqvarna page reads differently. Under Capacity it gives max blow force 22 N and max air speed with the round nozzle 270 mph, which match, and then max air flow at nozzle (round) 452.03 cfm, which does not. Husqvarna prints both numbers on one page without reconciling them.
The specification line names its measuring point, the round nozzle, while the 765 figure in the copy and FAQ names none. Husqvarna does not explain the difference anywhere on the page. If air volume is what decides the purchase, ask Husqvarna which figure applies before you buy.
Noise: 110 dB(A) at the ear, and a listing field that says 45
Husqvarna's sound and noise block gives three figures for this machine: sound pressure level at the operator's ear of 110 dB(A), sound power level measured of 110 dB(A) and guaranteed sound power level, LWA, of 113 dB(A). Equivalent vibration at the handle is given as 6.1 metres per second squared.
The listing's overview and details tables both carry a Noise Level field reading 45 dB. That is not a figure Husqvarna publishes for the 150BT anywhere on its product page, and it is more than sixty decibels below what Husqvarna does publish.
Neither document explains the listing's 45 dB field. The accessories Husqvarna itself lists alongside the 150BT are protective glasses, headband hearing protection and work gloves, and the protective-equipment requirements are set out in the operator's manual rather than here.
The engine numbers that govern fuel and running
Husqvarna's engine block gives cylinder displacement of 51.7 cubic centimetres, output shaft power of 2.16 horsepower measured as net power to ISO 8893, a fuel tank of 42.6 US fluid ounces or 1.26 litres, fuel consumption of 466 grams per kilowatt hour, maximum power speed of 7,000 rpm, idling speed of 2,520 rpm and an electrode gap of 0.025 inches.
Both Husqvarna documents are specific about fuel. The product FAQ calls for a 50:1 fuel-to-oil ratio using fresh unleaded gasoline of at least 87 octane mixed with a quality two-stroke oil, and the warranty document repeats that 50:1 ratio as the prescribed mix.
The warranty document also sets a limit on ethanol. It approves fuel with a maximum of 10 percent ethanol, states that E15 and E85 are not approved for use in Husqvarna products, and says using them will cause major engine damage that the warranty does not cover. Damage from old, stale or bad fuel, and from ether or starting fluids, is excluded as well.
The operator's manual attached to this listing is the 345BT's
Four PDFs hang off this listing, and the one labelled User Manual is not this machine's manual. It is a 424-page multilingual operator's manual whose first page reads 345BT, and whose EU and UK declarations of conformity both identify the product as platform BP152HV, representing model 345BT, for serial numbers dating from 2022 onwards.
Nothing in that document is used on this page for the 150BT, because a manual written for a different model cannot be assumed to carry the same figures, intervals or part numbers. The specification figures above come from Husqvarna's own 150BT product page instead.
If you buy this machine, ask Husqvarna or the seller for the 150BT operator's manual, and check that the model on its cover matches the plate on the machine before you use the numbers in it for servicing or for a warranty claim.
Warranty conditions that can quietly cost you cover
The listing's warranty field says two years, and its description offers to extend that from two years to five by buying 96 fluid ounces of fuel at the same time as the machine. Husqvarna's warranty document, the 2024 edition attached to this listing, sets the conditions; its duration chart could not be read reliably, so this page does not confirm the two-year term from Husqvarna.
Cover runs to the original retail purchaser from the date of retail purchase, and Husqvarna requires proof of purchase with date, model and serial number, presented at an authorised servicing dealer. Transport or shipping costs to that dealer are the buyer's. Registration is stated not to be a condition of service.
The exclusions are the part to read twice. Normal wear parts such as air filters, spark plugs, starter cords, fuel and fuel filters are not covered, emissions components fall under a separate emission control warranty in the operator's manual packet, and failure to perform prescribed maintenance is excluded. Adjustments after the first 90 days are not covered, continued use after a failure is excluded, commercial or rental use can mean no warranty or a reduced one depending on the product, and rental use of any handheld product carries a 90-day period.
