Parents watching two rooms who want a parent unit without Wi-Fi plus optional app viewing

Momcozy gives 10 hours screen-on and 20 hours regular runtime from a 5000mAh battery, a 3 to 4 hour charge, and range of 960 or 1,000 feet depending on the page. What the BM04 two-camera kit is
Amazon's details give this ASIN as model number and part number BM04, model name BM04-2C, made by Momcozy, with the style BM04 with 2 Cameras selected. Momcozy sells the same kit as the 5-Inch Dual-mode Smart Baby Monitor with 2 Camera, BM04, and its support site has a BM04 product section. The listing states FCC IDs of 2A6UA-BM04-A for the monitor and 2A6UA-BM04-B for the camera.
Amazon's list of contents is one parent unit, two camera units, two power adapters and cables, a user manual and quick guide, and a wall-mounting bracket and screw set. The What's in the Box list on Momcozy's two-camera page shows one camera unit, one parent unit, two power adapters, a 1.5 m and a 2.5 m power cable, one wall-mounting bracket, one screw set, a quick start guide and a user manual. Those lists do not agree on the number of cameras, so check the box on arrival and contact Momcozy if anything is missing.
Neither list includes a memory card, and Momcozy's SD card support article for the BM04 says no card comes with it. Storage options are covered in the recording section below.
Two ways to watch: parent unit or app
Momcozy describes a Non-WiFi mode, where the parent unit connects directly to the camera without relying on Wi-Fi, and a WiFi mode that lets you watch through the Momcozy app away from home. The listing notes that pairing over Wi-Fi supports only 2.4 GHz networks. Amazon's details list the connection as FHSS and Wi-Fi and say no app subscription fee is required.
The listing says up to 20 users can share the video. Momcozy's product page describes encrypted data transmission and a one-tap privacy mode, and its support index has a separate article on Private Mode for the BM04. Those are Momcozy's descriptions, and we have not verified them.
The listing's comparison panel shows the BM04 with app support and a unit range of 960 feet, and describes the app range as unlimited. Momcozy's product page describes app viewing as monitoring while you are away from home, over the camera's Wi-Fi connection.
Screen, cameras and controls
The parent unit has a 5-inch screen and shows two cameras side by side in split screen. Momcozy's page says the system connects up to 4 cameras. Its page gives the camera as 1080P, with 350-degree pan, 110-degree tilt and 2x or 4x zoom; Amazon's details describe the pan as 360 degrees.
Momcozy's support article describes the parent unit's controls: a power button held for 3 seconds, volume buttons, a Home menu button, a return button, a directional pad that moves the camera, an OK/ZOOM button that steps between 1x, 2x and 4x, a Talk button, and a Photo/Record button. It says a short press takes a screenshot when a memory card is in the camera and a 3-second hold records.
The same article describes the indicator lights: white blinking while charging and solid when full, solid red for low battery, blinking red for a temperature or sound warning, and a blue light for pairing and paired that goes off after 3 minutes. The camera overview lists a lens, microphone, antenna, signal light, pair button, temperature sensor and charging port.
Battery, charging and range, as Momcozy states them
The parent unit battery is 5000mAh in the listing and on Momcozy's comparison panel, which also notes the cameras need power. Momcozy's product page says the parent unit lasts 10 hours with the screen always on and 20 hours in regular mode. Its support article gives the BM04's charging time as 3 to 4 hours and working time as 20 hours in regular mode.
Range is given two ways by Momcozy. The product page and the listing say 960 feet. Momcozy's working-distance support article says a maximum of 1,000 feet, or 304.8 meters, line of sight with no obstructions, and a minimum of 1.5 meters, or 4.9 feet, between camera and monitor.
Treat either range figure as a maximum. The support article's own condition for its figure is line of sight with no obstructions, so walls and floors between camera and parent unit are outside that condition.
Recording, storage and alerts
Momcozy's page describes automatic or manual recording, with 24/7 continuous recording or motion-activated clips, stored on a memory card or on cloud storage, both sold separately. Its SD card article recommends a 32 to 256 GB card of V10 speed class, or saving recordings to your phone through the app on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
Alerts named on Momcozy's page are motion alerts, a safe zone, cry detection and a temperature alert, shown on the parent unit or in the app. The page also lists a VOX mode. There are 8 built-in lullabies with 10 volume levels, and two-way talk from the parent unit or the app.
These are Momcozy's feature names, and we make no claim about how the detection features perform. The listing's comparison panel names the alerts as motion, sound and danger zone.
Mounting tips and warranty
Momcozy's page says the camera can be wall-mounted or set on a tabletop. The listing adds two placement tips for image quality: mount the camera at least 0.6 meters, or 24 inches, above the baby so it stays in focus, and keep it within 5 meters, or 16 feet, of the crib horizontally so the infrared night vision can light the scene.
Momcozy's warranty panel on the product page says battery-operated products carry 2 years of coverage, 3 years in Spain, for failures from non-human factors, and that damage from misuse or unauthorized modification is excluded. It asks you to keep proof of purchase. We did not read the full warranty policy page.
Momcozy's 30-day return panel covers unused, unopened products bought from its own store. Returns on an Amazon order follow the terms shown at checkout.
