Nine Bar Basics product guide
Ninja Luxe Café Premier ES601 Espresso Machine
Whole-bean drink variety with guided dosing and programmed milk
Choose the ES601 for an integrated grinder, weight-based dosing and espresso, coffee or cold-brew modes. Preparation still includes a separate assisted tamper and moving the portafilter. Hot frothing queues after brewing rather than running simultaneously. Check counter dimensions and use the owner guide's separate CLEAN and DESCALE procedures because current web guidance conflicts.

Guided preparation is not a fully automatic latte
The stainless ES601 Premier combines espresso, drip coffee and rapid cold-brew modes with a conical burr grinder, twenty-five grind settings and weight-based dosing. Barista Assist recommends a grind setting and manages aspects of brewing, but you still move the portafilter, use the separate assisted tamper where required and transfer it to the group head. Ignore a retail table's fully automatic label if you expect a machine that completes the whole latte without those steps.
The actual owner guide says to put whole beans in the hopper, not pre-ground coffee, and never add water to the grinder. The model-specific FAQ also describes a whole-bean route. Do not buy this unit assuming the retail ground-coffee table entry establishes a supported bypass for a second decaf coffee. Changing beans involves the maker's hopper and grinder-clearing process.
Double and quad choices, not an assumed single basket
The exact listing includes Double and Luxe baskets. The Double handles the standard double espresso route; the larger Luxe basket covers quad and coffee-based drinks under the manual's instructions. The ES601 FAQ explicitly says the model is not designed for a single basket. A single-basket accessory appearing in the maker site's carousel does not override that model-specific answer or prove it belongs in this kit.
The owner guide distinguishes tamping all espresso drinks and sixteen- or eighteen-ounce coffee drinks from leveling grounds for six- through fourteen-ounce coffee. It also specifies an additional tamp without the funnel for a quad shot. Follow the selected drink's sequence, including removing the funnel before brewing, rather than assuming every drink is prepared identically. We have not measured dosing consistency or extraction quality.
Hot milk can be queued, but it is not simultaneous brewing
The Premier offers four froth programs: steamed milk, thin froth, thick froth and cold foam, with dairy and plant-based selections. A manual-frothing option is also described in the owner guide. These controls reduce some milk handling, but you still fill the supplied jug, stay within its limits, position the wand and clean after use. Hands-free frothing does not mean a maintenance-free system.
Ninja's FAQ says brewing and hot frothing cannot run at the same time. You can queue the hot-froth cycle to begin after brewing; cold foam is the stated exception that can run during a brew. After milk use, the manual requires wiping the wand and lowering it without the jug for its purge. That purge cleans the wand's internal path, not the entire milk jug, portafilter or machine.
Use the owner guide to separate cleaning from descaling
The actual ES601 owner-guide attachment describes a roughly six-minute CLEAN cycle for coffee residue using fresh water in the reservoir, the Double basket, cleaning disc and cleaning tablet. Its separate DESCALE cycle addresses mineral buildup and is described as approximately ninety minutes, followed by the specified fresh-water flushing. These are different jobs with different supplies; do not treat the two indicator lights as interchangeable.
The current web FAQ's CLEAN instructions include a descaling-solution step that does not match the inspected manual's CLEAN procedure. We follow the actual owner-guide distinction and do not reproduce that conflicting web recipe. The manual also directs hand-washing the basket and portafilter and dry-brush care for the burr grinder. Its dishwasher list is narrower than the FAQ's: check the exact part and supplied revision, especially removable trays, before using a dishwasher.
Confirm the working space instead of trusting one conflicted table
The maker FAQ gives 12.5 inches wide by 12.5 long by 14.75 high. Amazon instead lists 13.39 wide by 12.99 deep by 14.57 high, while the current maker sales panel displays still larger figures. These sources do not establish one reliable tight-fit measurement. Confirm the assembled ES601 and allow room above for beans and water, in front for the handle and tray, and beside it for the milk jug.
The inspected owner guide gives a 70-ounce reservoir and a 1,650-watt, 120V, 60Hz rating. The selected maker page states a one-year limited warranty; check applicable terms for your seller and region. This guide excludes implausible weight and peak-power entries in that page's table, and makes no guarantee about noise, flavor, machine longevity or the time to finish several drinks.
