What the LSPG-L6 is
The LSPG-L6 is SENIX's 21-inch gas push mower with a 144cc four-cycle engine. The listing gives the model as L6 and the part number as L6-01, and SENIX's product page and manual both use LSPG-L6. SENIX's specification tab lists it as a push mower, with no self-propel drive.
SENIX describes two clipping modes, mulching and side discharge, and lists no bagging mode. The manual says the mower is shipped set up as a mulcher; side discharge needs the side discharge cover hooked on under the mulching cover, which the manual says must never be removed.
SENIX describes a 14-gauge steel deck, a true 21-inch blade and a fuel tank of 27.05 ounces. The manual's applications line is cutting grass in domestic use.
Heights, wheels and size
SENIX's page, the manual and the listing all give six cutting heights from 1.25 to 3.75 inches. The manual explains that the front and rear wheels are set by two separate levers and asks you to keep all four wheels at the same height.
The wheels are 8 inches at the front and 11 at the rear on both SENIX's page and the listing. SENIX lists the mower at 32.4 by 22.7 by 14.9 inches; the listing's figures are slightly larger.
SENIX gives the weight as 46 pounds, while the listing says 50 pounds. Neither explains the difference, and the manual's specification page could not be read to check.
What the listing claims beyond SENIX's documents
The listing says the mower handles yards up to half an acre; SENIX's page says medium to large lawns and gives no acreage. The listing also says a tool kit is included, which neither SENIX document mentions.
One listing bullet says side discharge suits tall or wet grass. The manual's safety pages say never to operate the mower in wet grass. The listing and the manual disagree on this point.
The listing describes the two-year warranty as covering the engine, deck and wheels. The manual's warranty excludes the RATO engine, which it says is covered under a separate engine manual.
Starting, oil and mowing guidance
The manual shows a primer on the left side of the engine. A blade control bail stops both the engine and the blade when it is released, according to the manual. Starting steps are in the manual; this page does not repeat them.
The manual accepts oils rated SF or higher and prints a temperature chart for oil grades; it warns that SAE 30 causes hard starting below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Fuel, oil and starting steps are in the manual and the separate engine manual.
Its mowing tips are to keep the blade sharp, travel back and forth rather than in circles, slow down in thick grass and never cut more than a third of the grass length at once. The manual's slope and fuel safety pages apply; this page does not repeat them.
Maintenance, cleaning and storage
The manual's schedule has an oil check and cleaning after each use and the first oil change after 5 hours. Oil changes and air filter cleaning follow annually or every 50 hours, the spark plug is replaced annually, and the deck underside is cleaned annually or every 25 hours, more often when mulching.
Cleaning is by brush or dry cloth. The manual warns against water on engine parts, against a pressure washer or garden hose on the unit, and against strong detergents and pine- or lemon-scented cleaners on the plastic. Changing the engine's governed speed voids the engine warranty.
The handle folds for storage after loosening the lower knob, and SENIX says it stores vertically. For long storage the schedule calls for draining the gas tank and carburettor, and the manual says to store the mower in a dry, clean area away from fertilizer; follow its steps, which this page does not reproduce.
Two-year warranty terms
The manual's SENIX warranty covers the mower for two years from original purchase, with proof of purchase, for repair or replacement. The RATO engine is excluded and covered under the separate engine manual, which was not part of what we read.
Blades, grass bags, spark plugs and filters are listed as expendable items and are not covered, and fuel-related repairs are also excluded. Shipping costs to obtain warranty service are not covered.
The warranty is void for commercial, professional or rental use and is not transferable from the original retail purchaser. SENIX's page also mentions local service centers.
