What the LSSG-M10 is
The LSSG-M10 is SENIX's 21-inch self-propelled gas mower with a 170cc four-stroke OHV engine. The listing gives the model as M10 and the part number as LSSG-M10-001A, and SENIX's product page and manual both use LSSG-M10.
SENIX rates the engine at 3.8 horsepower with 6.4 foot-pounds of torque; the listing says 6.5. The manual names the engine RV170-S and gives a no-load speed of 3,100 RPM, which SENIX's product page repeats. The product page's specification tab gives the engine brand as SENIX, while the manual's warranty refers engine cover to a separate RATO engine manual.
SENIX's page says it suits yards of about 0.4 acres, while the listing says a third of an acre. SENIX also quotes fuel use of roughly 27 ounces per hour, based on mowing 0.4 acres.
Oil in the box, not in the engine
SENIX's product page says the mower comes with engine oil and describes it as pre-filled. The manual says the unit is shipped without gasoline or oil in the engine, and lists a bottle of oil among the parts in the carton. Neither explains the difference. The manual's maintenance table calls for an oil check at each use.
The manual's carton list is two handle fixing knobs, the grass catcher, the side discharge cover, the bottle of oil and the manual. SENIX's page also names a mulch plug among the included items.
The manual specifies SAE 30 oil and prints a temperature chart for other grades. It warns that SAE 30 causes hard starting below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Fuel, oil and starting steps are in the manual and the separate engine manual.
Heights, modes and wheels
All three sources give six cutting heights from 1.25 to 3.75 inches using two levers. The manual asks you to keep all four wheels at the same height.
The manual says the mower ships set up as a mulcher, with side discharge and rear bagging as the other two modes. It advises against mulching grass taller than four inches and suggests bagging instead, and it advises against cutting wet grass.
The grass bag is 16 gallons or 60 litres in the manual and on the listing; SENIX's product page calls it a 1.7-bushel bagger. The wheels are 8 inches at the front and 11 at the rear. A listing bullet is headed front-wheel drive, and neither SENIX document states which wheels are driven.
Weight and handling limits
The manual gives the tool-only weight as 61.7 pounds, and both SENIX's product page and the listing give the same figure. The listing's dimensions are 61 by 22.8 by 41.5 inches.
A drive control bail engages the self-propel drive, and a separate blade control bail stops the engine and blade when you release it. The manual includes a slope gauge page and says not to operate the mower on slopes over 15 degrees; its safety pages cover mowing on slopes.
The manual advises against carrying the mower in an enclosed vehicle and says to empty residual fuel before transport. Read its safety pages before first use; this page does not repeat them.
Maintenance and cleaning rules
The manual's schedule has an oil check at each use and the first oil change after 5 hours. Oil changes and air filter cleaning follow annually or every 50 hours, the spark plug is replaced annually, and the deck underside is cleaned annually or every 25 hours, more often when mulching.
The manual says not to use water, a garden hose or a pressure washer on the unit or its engine parts, and recommends a brush or dry cloth. Changing the engine's governed speed voids the engine warranty.
For storage over 30 days the manual covers fuel, oil and blade protection, and says to store the mower in a dry, clean area away from fertilizer. Follow its steps; this page does not reproduce them.
Two-year warranty, engine covered separately
SENIX's warranty in the manual covers the mower for two years from original purchase, with proof of purchase, for repair or replacement. The RATO engine is excluded from that warranty and is covered under the separate engine manual, which was not part of what we read.
Blades, grass bags, spark plugs and filters are listed as expendable items and are not covered. Damage from improper, contaminated or stale fuel is excluded, and shipping costs to obtain warranty service are not covered.
The warranty is void if the mower is used for commercial, professional or rental work, and it is not transferable from the original retail purchaser.
