Fit and limits

Strengths

  • Charger rated at about 30 minutes for the included 2.0Ah pack
  • Three-speed impact driver with a Control Mode
  • Compact tools at about 2 lb each without battery

Caveats

  • Only one battery for two tools
  • Amazon's charging-time and capacity fields contradict SKIL
  • No manual found on the kit page; warranty wording is listing-only

Two sub-compact brushless tools and one battery

SKIL's kit page lists a PWRCORE 20 brushless sub-compact drill driver (DL6293B-00), a PWRCORE 20 brushless sub-compact impact driver (ID6739B-00), one BY519702 2.0Ah battery, a QC536001 Auto PWR JUMP charger, two PH2 bits, two belt clips and a battery jacket. Amazon's included-components line is shorter but consistent.

With a single battery, only one tool can run at a time. SKIL lists the drill at 1.92 lb and the impact driver at 2.01 lb without battery; Amazon gives 8.22 lb for the packaged kit. SKIL's feature list says the battery has a USB port for charging other devices, which it calls PWR ASSIST mobile charging.

Charging time with the included charger

SKIL's page for the QC536001 charger gives charging times of about 30 minutes for a 2.0Ah battery, 40 minutes for 2.5Ah, 50 minutes for 4.0Ah and 60 minutes for 5.0Ah, at 6 amps from a 120V outlet. That helps offset having only one battery in the kit.

Amazon's details list a charging time of 5 minutes and a battery capacity label of 5.2Ah alongside a 2 amp-hour capacity. Those figures do not match SKIL's pages, which name a 2.0Ah battery and a 30-minute charge, so treat the listing's charging and 5.2Ah fields as unreliable.

The DL6293B drill driver

SKIL lists two speeds of 0 to 500 and 0 to 1,800 rpm, 450 in-lbs of maximum torque, 17 clutch settings plus drill mode and a 1/2 in. single-sleeve ratcheting chuck. The listing describes a strip LED work light that can stay on for up to 10 minutes.

SKIL does not list a hammer mode for this drill. Amazon's details give a 1,800 rpm speed, matching SKIL, and label the drill type as basic drill. SKIL lists the drill at 1.92 lb without battery.

The ID6739B impact driver and Control Mode

SKIL lists three speeds of 1,800, 2,500 and 3,100 rpm with 2,450, 3,400 and 3,950 impacts per minute, 1,800 in-lbs of claimed torque, a metal gearbox, a one-handed 1/4 in. hex collet and a Halo light that SKIL describes as 5X.

SKIL also lists a Control Mode and a process-control feature. The pages read do not explain how the mode is selected or what it changes, so check the manual in the box before relying on it for delicate fastening.

What is not covered here

SKIL's kit page links to a parts list but no manual PDF was found on it, so charging temperatures, clutch guidance, battery care and detailed warranty terms from a manual are not covered in this guide. Read the manual supplied with the kit before first use.

Neither SKIL's page nor the listing gives drilling capacities for wood, metal or masonry. Amazon's listing also shows a maximum power figure of 850 watts that SKIL's pages do not state; treat it as listing-only.

Warranty requires registration, per the listing

Amazon's details describe a five-year limited warranty with registration. SKIL's CB8437B-10 kit page, as read, does not show a warranty length in its specifications, so the listing is the only source for this kit's warranty wording.

Keep your proof of purchase and register the tools promptly if you want the five years the listing describes, and confirm the terms with SKIL. The battery and charger may carry different terms from the tools; the sources read do not say.
