Consider the connection size before reusing tools from another machine; larger shop-vac accessories are not automatically compatible. Alton cautions that nominal tank volume is not usable pickup capacity.
The hose and wand claims do not fully agree
The listing-linked manual and the maker's specification table give a six-foot hose and ten-foot cord. One accessory subsection on the maker page instead says five feet. The same sources also differ on the kit: the manual lists two wands, while the current Amazon bullets and one maker subsection list three. Confirm the supplied hose and wand count if that reach is essential, rather than treating every SL18116P description as identical.
Know which supplied filter is for which job
The manual lists a reusable dry filter with clamp ring, a disposable filter bag and a foam filter. For wet pickup, it says to remove the reusable filter and use the foam filter. Unplug before emptying or servicing. The float stops airflow when liquid reaches its limit; stop, unplug and empty rather than continuing to run at cutoff. These basic filters are not proof of hazardous-dust suitability.
Compare the setup, not peak horsepower alone
Alton labels this a four-peak-HP vacuum but explains that the rating is not operational horsepower. The listing-linked manual gives a 120V, 60Hz, 8A electrical rating. Neither figure establishes real-world cleaning speed. Choose around storage, hose fit and the confirmed accessory package; we have not measured suction, sound level or long-term durability, and the maker's packaging weight is not presented here as bare-tool weight.
