Vacmaster VJH1211PF1101 12-Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum

A larger tank with a 2.5-inch hose and drain

Consider this Vacmaster when a 12-gallon nominal tank, wider 2.5-inch hose and drain fit your cleanup and storage needs. Its 27-foot reach claim combines a 20-foot cord and 7-foot hose. Confirm whether the current package includes a dust bag, since the maker's two equipment lists differ.

Fit and limits

Strengths

  • Larger nominal tank than the compact five-gallon alternatives
  • Drain provided for emptying liquids according to the model instructions
  • Two wands and three cleaning nozzle types are listed

Caveats

  • Large tank needs storage room and becomes heavier as it fills
  • Dust-bag inclusion differs between the maker's equipment lists
  • Wet and dry use require the correct separate filter setup

Choose around the tank and hose

The VJH1211PF1101 combines a nominal 12-gallon polypropylene tank with a 7-foot, 2.5-inch hose and a drain. It suits someone who wants a larger container and this wider accessory size, and has room to store the rolling body. Twelve gallons describes vessel volume, not the amount of liquid or debris available during operation. Allow for handling and emptying a loaded tank, not just storing an empty machine.

Twenty-seven feet of reach is not a 27-foot hose

The maker adds the 20-foot power cord to the 7-foot hose to advertise 27 feet of cleaning reach. The actual flexible hose is still seven feet long. Check where the outlet and vacuum will sit, and match any additional tools to the stated 2.5-inch connection rather than assuming every shop-vac accessory fits.

Check the bag and change filters for liquids

The detailed included list names a cartridge filter, foam wet filter, two extension wands and utility, floor/squeegee and crevice nozzles. The product's upper bullets also advertise a dust bag, but that bag is absent from its detailed equipment list. Confirm the exact package before relying on a bag being supplied.

Cleva's FAQ calls for foam filtration for liquids and removal of dry filters and bags before wet pickup. For dry use, choose the appropriate compatible filter and bag, checking for damage and proper fit if dust escapes. This is not evidence that the machine is suitable for hazardous dust. Follow the exact model instructions and allow the wet setup to dry before returning to dry filtration.

How to read the performance claims

The current specification table lists 143 CFM and 60 inches of water lift, measured under an ASTM method at the end of the supplied hose. These are manufacturer figures, not our measurements. The 5.5 peak-HP label is a laboratory peak, not continuous operating horsepower, and should not be treated as a direct measure of how quickly the vacuum will clean your floor.
