A 2kWh home-backup box with no solar panel and no 12V car socket
The S2000 is Anker's 2,010Wh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) power station, model AS220, sold on this listing as the unit alone. No solar panel is included. Anker's own page and the user guide list the power station and an AC charging cable in the box, while the Amazon bullet lists the power station, a quick start guide and a safety and warranty card without mentioning the cable, so check the carton on arrival.
The listing bullet and Anker's comparison table both say there is no 12V DC port, which rules out plugging in car-style 12V fridges or pumps directly. The comparison table also lists the S2000 as not expandable, so 2,010Wh is the most it will ever hold; if you expect to add battery packs later, this model does not support that.
The cycle-life claim depends on which capacity floor you read
The Amazon listing says 10,000 cycles and a 15-year lifespan. Anker's product page gives two figures side by side: 6,000 cycles to 80% capacity and 10,000 cycles to 60% capacity. Its footnote says the 15-year estimate assumes one to two cycles per day with more than 60% of the original capacity left, and that product coverage is five years.
In plain terms, the 10,000-cycle figure describes a battery that has lost up to about forty percent of its capacity. If you plan around keeping close to the full 2,010Wh, the 6,000-cycles-to-80% figure is the more useful one. The fifteen-year figure is an estimate, not a warranty term.
1,500W continuous, with SurgePad as a separate high-draw mode
The user guide rates all AC outlets together at 1,500W continuous, and Anker's page adds a 3,000W peak and pure sine wave output. SurgePad is a maker feature that switches on automatically above the rated output and allows up to 2,600W. The guide says it works better with heating devices, does not suit precision instruments or devices with strict voltage requirements, and does not work in bypass mode.
When plugged into the wall, the unit runs in bypass mode, where the guide lists 1,800W maximum for under three hours and 12A continuous beyond three hours. USB ports are modest: one USB-A at 12W, one USB-C at 15W, those two sharing 18W, and one USB-C at 100W. The listing says eight outlets, split between the front and rear.
Charging: 1,150W by default, 1,600W only through the app
Out of the box, AC charging is capped at 1,150W, and Anker's page footnote gives about 2.3 hours for a full charge at that default. UltraFast charging to 1,600W has to be switched on in the Anker app, and the user guide advises using it only when necessary to protect battery health. The app also lets you set charge limits between 80% and 100% and discharge limits between 1% and 20%.
Solar input is a single XT60i port rated 11 to 60V, 12.5A and 400W maximum. The guide says the solar panels, the PV-to-XT60i cable and extension cables are bought separately. Anker's FAQ gives about three to four hours from 20% to 80% on a 400W panel in direct sun. The listing also mentions car-outlet and alternator charging; neither the guide nor the product page text we read gives a car-charging wattage.
UPS switchover and app features that need Wi-Fi
The user guide states the UPS supports 10 ms when the unit is plugged into a wall outlet with the provided cable and AC output is on; the listing and product page say under 10 ms. Standard Mode, the default, powers the load from the grid while charging and switches to battery during a blackout. Test your own equipment on it before relying on it, since the guide gives no list of compatible devices.
Anker's page says Wi-Fi and an account are needed for time-of-use scheduling, remote control, Storm Guard and similar features. The guide adds that with charge limits set, the unit fully recharges once every 720 hours to recalibrate its battery reading, regardless of mode.
Temperatures, noise claim and warranty
The guide lists discharging from -4°F to 104°F and charging from 32°F to 104°F. That rules out charging in a freezing garage or car. The listing weight is 35.7 pounds and the size 8.2 by 11.1 by 12.7 inches on Anker's page.
Anker's page advertises 30 dB but gives no test distance or load, so treat it as a maker claim. Anker's page and the Amazon warranty field both say five years. Neither the guide nor the product page read states registration conditions, and Anker's separate warranty policy was not read.
