What the GPW3002A is
The GPW3002A is Greenworks' corded 3000 PSI brushless electric pressure washer, sold as the Gen 2 version of its 3000 PSI 2.0 GPM cold-water model, SKU 5128802. Greenworks' page and the manual both name GPW3002A, matching the Amazon listing.
The page lists a 14 amp brushless motor, a 25-foot kink-resistant hose, a 35-foot power cord with an inline GFCI, a quick-connect wand, five nozzles, 10-inch wheels, and a one-gallon soap tank. Its included list is the washer, the hose, the wand, 15, 25 and 40 degree nozzles, a soap nozzle, a turbo nozzle and the owner's manual.
The manual states the washer is for residential use only, not professional use, and should be operated above 32 degrees Fahrenheit. It is double insulated and runs on a 120 volt, 60 Hz household supply.
3000 PSI and 2.0 GPM are not delivered together
Greenworks is explicit about this on its product page: 3000 PSI maximum at 1.1 GPM of water flow, and 2.0 GPM of flow at 100 PSI. The manual's technical data give 3000 PSI maximum, 2.0 GPM maximum and 1.1 GPM rated, and 3300 cleaning units. The listing leads with 3000 PSI and 2.0 GPM.
Greenworks says its smart-sensing brushless motor adjusts pressure and flow to suit the nozzle in use, and that its JettFlow technology gives 50 percent more flow. The listing adds that the pressure and flow claims were verified by an independent lab, and the product page's specifications list PWMA.
The manual's troubleshooting says a garden hose that is too small keeps the washer from reaching high pressure and recommends a 5/8 inch or 1 inch hose. It also lists low voltage as a problem and suggests running only the pressure washer on the circuit.
Nozzles, soap and the thermal relief valve
The manual's nozzle table covers the 15 degree tip for hard-surface preparation, the 25 degree tip as the versatile choice, the 40 degree tip for delicate jobs such as car surfaces, the black soap tip and a turbo tip that rotates in a zero to 15 degree pattern covering 4 to 8 inches depending on distance.
Soap can only be applied with the black soap nozzle fitted, which the manual describes as low pressure. It warns against household detergents, acids, alkalines, bleaches, solvents and industrial solutions; use only what the manual allows.
The manual says the thermal relief valve opens when the water temperature reaches 140 degrees Fahrenheit and resets automatically. It gives a maximum inlet water temperature of 104 degrees Fahrenheit, which the listing repeats.
Power and water hook-up
The GFCI is built into the power cord plug. The manual allows outdoor-rated extension cords rated no lower than the washer, but its troubleshooting lists voltage loss from an improper extension cord as a problem, with the fix being to plug directly into the outlet.
The manual recommends a drip loop in the power cord and says not to operate the washer without the water supply connected. Its start and stop sequences are in the operation section; this page does not reproduce them, so follow the manual.
Greenworks' product page lists push-button start, thermal relief valves and on-board storage among its key features, and gives 1/4-inch quick-connect fittings and 10-inch wheels in its specifications.
Pump care and storage
Greenworks' page lists "No Maintenance" among its selling points, while the manual still recommends pump protector solution after every use and before long-term storage. It says pump protector helps remove hard-water mineral deposits, lubricates pump seals and pistons, and prevents freeze damage.
Other care in the manual is cleaning the spray tips with a paper clip or the cleaning tool. Troubleshooting suggests running distilled vinegar through the detergent tank if the gun, hose or nozzle are calcified; this page does not reproduce the procedure.
For storage, the manual asks for the washer to be kept in a dry, frost-free place out of children's reach. Greenworks' page says it can be stored upright.
Warranty: the page and the manual say different things
The manual's limited warranty runs for three years from the shipping or in-store purchase date, with repair, replacement, substitution or refund at Greenworks' discretion. Proof of purchase and product registration are required, and commercial use and misuse are excluded.
Greenworks' product page lists a 3-year limited tool warranty in its key features and specifications, but its product intro text also claims a 10-year motor warranty. The manual we read does not mention a 10-year motor term.
The GPW3002A suits a homeowner who wants a corded washer with published rated and maximum flow, a turbo nozzle and a one-gallon onboard soap tank. It suits you less if you need professional use, which the manual excludes, or depend on hot inlet water above 104 degrees.
