A low-step city bike on 26-inch road tyres
The Cityscape 2.0 is Heybike's step-through commuter, built on a high-carbon steel frame with a front suspension fork, an adjustable handlebar, dual disc brakes and a seven-speed rear derailleur. Its tyres are 26 by 1.95 inch puncture-resistant road tyres rather than fat tyres, so this is a pavement bike, not a sand or snow machine.
Heybike's page gives a rider fit of five foot one to six foot three with a minimum 34-inch inseam. The manual's specification table puts the assembled bike at 172 by 62 by 120 centimetres, weighing 61.73 pounds, with the carton at 74.96 pounds. Measure your hallway or lift before ordering, because that is a heavy bike to carry.
Amazon's included-components field only says headlight. Heybike's page lists a charger, a user manual and a key in the box. The manual's package-contents page is longer still and adds the seat, front wheel, pedals, fender, kickstand, rear rack, stem cover, a front wheel screw, cable ties and a tool roll of two wrenches and five Allen keys.
The peak motor figure is printed three different ways
Every source agrees the continuous motor is 500 watts. They do not agree on the peak. The Amazon title and description say peak 1200W. Heybike's own product page says 1200W peak in its top stat bar and again in its specification accordion, but 1000W peak twice in the body copy lower down the same page. The manual's specification table says 500W Peak 750W.
That is three different peak figures in maker-controlled documents, and we are not going to pick one or explain the gap. Ask Heybike in writing which peak output applies to the bike shipping today, and keep the answer. If hill climbing is why you are buying, the manual's own figure for maximum angle of climb is 14 degrees.
Top speed is stated only in the manual we read, at 24 mph or 39 km/h. Neither the product page nor the manual pages we read assigns this bike a US class 1, class 2 or class 3 label, so check your local rules and any path or campus restrictions yourself before you commit.
Range depends entirely on which mode you ride in
The headline of up to 50 miles appears on the listing, on Heybike's page and in the manual, but only as the top of a range that assumes pedal assist. The manual's table gives 35 to 50 miles in pedal-assist mode and 25 to 30 miles on throttle alone. Amazon's bullet gives a slightly more generous 30 to 35 miles on throttle.
Neither document states the rider weight, terrain, assist level, temperature or tyre pressure behind those figures, so treat all of them as unverified claims rather than a planning number. If you intend to ride mostly on the throttle, plan around the lower band and expect less again in cold weather or with cargo on the rack.
The battery is 36V 13Ah, which is the 468 watt-hours quoted everywhere, and it is removable so you can carry it indoors to charge. The manual specifies a 42V 2A charger and a charging time of five to six hours, so an overnight charge is the realistic routine rather than a top-up between errands.
Payload, tyre pressure and the running checks
The manual's maximum load is 264 pounds, or 120 kg, and that figure is not repeated on the listing or on Heybike's product page. It has to cover the rider plus anything on the rear rack, so if you plan to carry groceries or a child seat, work out your real loaded weight against that number before ordering.
The manual also specifies a tyre pressure of 45 to 60 PSI, which is worth writing down before the first ride. It lists an electric horn as installed, alongside the integrated headlight that the product page describes.
The manual's contents page sets aside pages six to twelve for assembly, so this is not a bike that comes out of the box ready to ride. Set aside an evening, follow the manual's assembly section rather than improvising, and test the brakes at walking pace before your first road ride.
What UL certified does and does not tell you here
The Amazon title says UL Certified and its bullet calls the pack a UL-certified 468Wh IPX6 waterproof lithium-ion battery. Heybike's page carries a UL Certified badge and describes a UL-certified battery with smart battery-management protection and IPX6 water resistance. The manual's specification table lists an IP level of IPX6.
What none of those sources does, in anything we read this session, is name the standard. There is no UL 2849 or UL 2271 number on the listing, the product page or the manual pages we read. If certification to a specific standard matters for your insurance, your building or your local rules, ask Heybike for the standard number and the certificate before you buy.
Note also that an IPX6 rating is quoted for the battery specifically on the listing and on the product page, while the manual gives it as the unit's IP level. Those are not the same statement, so do not assume the whole bike carries the rating.
Two warranty answers, and a long exclusion list
Amazon's warranty field says one year manufacturer. Heybike's product page shows a two-year warranty badge. The manual's warranty section covers only the original purchaser, says coverage ends immediately if the bike is sold or transferred, and refers to defects for a period it calls aforementioned without restating a duration on the pages we read.
Covered components listed in the manual include the battery, frame, forks, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, saddle, brakes, lights, bottom bracket, crank set, pedals, rims, wheel hub, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, shifter, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, display, kickstand, reflectors and hardware. Tyres, tubes, brake pads, cables and housing, grips, chain and spokes are treated as consumables.
Exclusions cover accident, misuse, commercial use, improper assembly, unauthorised service or parts, extreme and stunt riding, and water damage, and the battery is separately not warranted against power surges, an improper charger or poor maintenance. The manual states that whether damage is covered is at the sole discretion of the company. Returns run 30 days, need an authorisation number, require under ten miles on the odometer, and the buyer pays return shipping.
