An L-shaped desk built from three legs and one motor

The user manual's package contents list a motorised leg, a left leg, a right leg, two sync rods and five crossbars, so three legs share a single motor through rods that keep them level. VIVO's product page describes it the same way: a powerful single motor with telescopic height adjustment.

The manual covers the frame alone, sold as DESK-E355B, and the combined kits that add a desktop. This ASIN is one of the combined kits, so the left, middle and right desktop panels are included and are marked in the manual as parts supplied only with kit orders.

The return can go on either side, and the top is three pieces

VIVO's page says the three-piece desktop can be assembled with the return on the left or on the right, depending on your room. The manual reflects this by printing separate step sequences headed left side extension and right side extension, so you choose a path and follow it through.

The desktop panels connect with desktop connectors and M5 by 16 millimetre screws before the frame goes on. If you plan to use your own top instead of the supplied one, the manual tells you to assemble it first following its own instructions and then continue.

Amazon's bullet gives a finished outside measurement of 63 by 55.2 inches. VIVO's page offers the same desk in 63 by 47, 63 by 55, 75 by 63 and 84 by 63 inch sizes, so check which size the offer you are looking at actually is before ordering.

Four numbers where the maker and the listing disagree

The listing says the height range is 28.5 to 46.8 inches; VIVO's page says 29 to 48 inches. The listing says the legs are 2.4 inches wide; VIVO's page says 3.2 inches wide. The listing's table gives a tabletop thickness of 0.72 inches; VIVO's page says 0.8 inches.

The fourth gap is the presets. VIVO's page says the LED memory controller lets you program four height settings. The controller manual describes storing a sitting position and a standing position by pressing S and then the position button within six seconds, which reads as two presets rather than four.

The weight limit is the one figure everyone agrees on. Both the manual's warning page and the listing give 225 pounds, which is 102 kilograms. Where the documents differ, measure the desk you receive and ask VIVO before relying on the larger figure.

Two minutes of continuous running, then an eighteen minute rest

The controller manual states that the unit enters a protective mode with HOT on the display if the system runs continuously for more than two minutes, and that normal operation returns after roughly eighteen minutes. It specifically warns against unplugging and reconnecting to clear a HOT state, because that may damage the electronics.

Obstacle protection is listed as error E02, and the manual says the desk will automatically move back four centimetres after a collision. Collision force detection itself is adjustable: scroll to CF on the display, press S, then choose OFF, Low, Normal or Heavy and hold S for two seconds to save.

Other codes are E10 for a motor connection fault, E20 for overload, E31 for a brownout and E32 for a surge, with the voltage codes clearing on their own once line power is corrected. A power-saving mode kicks in after a couple of minutes without input.

What assembly actually involves

Amazon recommends two people for assembly, and the parts count supports that: three legs, five crossbars, two connector brackets, two sync rods, 25 anti-vibration pads and four desktop connectors before you reach the electrical parts. An extension cable is included for the motor lead on the longer run.

The sync rod step is the one to slow down on. The manual says to loosen the coupling nuts, insert each hex shaft until the metal retaining ring makes contact, check that all three legs are at the same height, turn a rod to level any leg that is out, then tighten the coupling nuts and both set screws.

Cable management is two adhesive clips used to secure the adapter and motor cables to the underside of the desktop. The control panel screws to the desktop with the same M5 screws used for the frame.

Support terms, returns and warranty

The user manual asks you to report damaged, defective or missing parts within 30 days of delivery for free replacement, and states that reporting later may mean the free replacement is refused. It repeats a do not return the item instruction and directs you to VIVO's support line first.

VIVO's product page lists a 30 day return policy and a 3 year warranty, and Amazon's item details also say three years. Neither document we read breaks that term into separate periods for the motor, the controller and the desktop, so ask VIVO directly if that distinction matters.

The manual's electrical safety page is short and specific: do not clean the product while power is connected, do not disassemble or replace components while power is connected, never run it with a damaged cord, never operate it in damp conditions, do not alter the power unit, and outdoor use is prohibited.
