Track saw guides: 3 models, one plain row each

What to check before buying
These track saw guides set each plunge saw's box list beside its maker's depth, bevel and speed figures. None of the kits here includes a rail, so the guides also note which rails and clamps each maker sells, and where a maker's page and manual disagree.
- The rail is sold separately. None of the kits here includes a track. Makita lists 55 in. and 118 in. rails for the XPS01PTJ, DEWALT lists 46 in. and 102 in. tracks, and WEN names a 100-inch track set, so budget for the rail and clamps.
- Depth on the rail. Makers state depth differently. DEWALT gives 2-1/8 in. on the track, WEN gives 2.13 in. with the track and 2.32 in. without, and Makita gives 2-3/16 in. at 90 degrees for the XPS01PTJ without saying whether the rail is counted.
- Bevel range. Makita's XPS01PTJ tilts from -1 to 48 degrees, DEWALT's DWS520 goes to 47 degrees and WEN's CT1065 stops at 45.
- Warranty in the manual. Read the manual as well as the page. Makita's XPS01PTJ page lists three years while its manual prints one year; DEWALT's page and manual both give three years.
- Cord or batteries. The XPS01PTJ runs on two 18V LXT batteries fitted together, and its kit includes two 5.0Ah packs and a dual port charger. The DEWALT and WEN saws plug in.
This page collects 3 track saw guides from Plain Buy Guides. Each guide covers one exact Amazon listing: the maker's published specifications, what the listing says is included, the fit and installation limits that decide whether it suits you, and the main caveat, with every source listed and dated. Nothing here is based on hands-on testing, and no guide promises a price or stock level.
In the table above, the Best for column says who each model suits, and the strength and caveat columns carry the first point each guide makes. Open a guide before buying to confirm the exact model, the included parts and any conflict between the listing and the maker's documents, which each guide reports rather than settles. Side-by-side pages put the published facts of two models from this category in one place.
