Bob and Brad C2 Deep Tissue Massage Gun
A pocketable percussion massager where 3200 rpm is enough
The C2 is Bob and Brad's small five-speed percussion massager, 2000 to 3200 rpm, 25 W rated, with five heads, a 10-minute auto shut-off and a carrying case. Its manual and its listing disagree sharply about charging: the manual says USB-A to USB-C only and about three hours, the listing advertises 15 W PD fast charging in 1.5 to 2 hours. Noise and warranty are also published two different ways.

Strengths

Caveats
- The manual says it will not charge on a USB-C to USB-C cable while the listing advertises C-to-C and PD fast charging
- Published noise figures differ by 20 dB between the maker's page and the Amazon bullet, with no stated conditions
- No amplitude or stroke length is published anywhere, and the stall force figure appears only in a listing bullet
One product, four different identification codes
Amazon lists this as the BOB AND BRAD C2 Massage Gun with a model name of C2, a model number of QL/DMS.C2-N and a manufacturer part number of QL/MDS.C2-D, plus UPC 793565053863. The manual attached to the same listing heads its technical details "QL/DMS.C2-D". Bob and Brad's own product page calls it SKU BADUSMSG-001. Those are four strings for one gun, and we have not tried to work out which is the current one. If you need to match a spare part or a warranty claim, quote the code printed on your own unit.
Amazon's included components field says "massage gun, massage head, type-c cable and carrying case", in the singular for the head, while the listing title and Bob and Brad's page both say five massage heads. The maker's page also describes an ergonomic silicone handle, a brushless motor and a dual shaft drive.
Two documents ship with the listing. One is the product manual; the other is an 86-page Bob and Brad self-massage ebook of body-area protocols. The ebook is not a manual for this device and we have not summarised any of its content. If you want to follow any of the routines in it, read it yourself and talk to a clinician.
Speed and force: what is published and what is not
The manual's technical details give a speed range of 2000 to 3200 r/min and a rated power of 25 W. The Amazon bullet breaks the range into five named steps, 2000, 2300, 2600, 2900 and 3200 rpm, and Bob and Brad's page gives the maximum as 3200 rpm with five speeds. Those three agree.
Stall force is a different matter. The Amazon bullet claims "over 45 lbs of stall force". We did not find a stall force figure anywhere in the manual pages that carry text, nor on Bob and Brad's product page. Treat 45 lb as a listing claim you cannot check against a maker document, and remember that stall force figures across this whole category are supplied by makers rather than measured to a common standard.
Amplitude, also called stroke length, is the number that most determines how a percussion massager feels, and it is not published anywhere we read: not in the manual's technical details, not in the Amazon bullets, not on Bob and Brad's page. If amplitude matters to you, this product does not give you the number.
Charging: the manual contradicts the listing outright
This is the clearest conflict on the product and it affects what you can plug it into. The Amazon bullet says: "Benefit from 15W PD fast charging, fully charging the C2 in just 1.5-2 hours compared to the standard 4 hours. The versatile USB Type-C port allows for charging with A-C or C-C cables."
The manual attached to that same listing says the opposite twice. Its technical details give "Charging Time: 210 minutes", its charging instruction says "please fully charge the device and to charge fully it takes about 3 hours", and its troubleshooting note reads: "Recharge fully using the USB-A to USB-C Cable for 3-4 hours. It will not take charge if you are using USB-C to USB-C cable." A boxed note beside it says "Only works with USB-A to USB-C cable" and "Use with 5V 2A charger output". Amazon's own details field, meanwhile, lists the charging time as 3 hours, matching the manual rather than the bullet.
We cannot tell you whether the unit shipping today takes a C-to-C cable or not, and we are not going to assume the bullet describes a newer revision. Plan on having a USB-A charger and an A-to-C cable available, and test C-to-C before you rely on it. The battery itself is given in the manual as 7.4 V and 2500 mAh; no runtime in minutes is published in anything we read.
Noise: 40 dB on Amazon, below 60 dB on the maker's own page
The Amazon bullet says the C2 "operates at a whisper-quiet level as low as 40 decibels". Bob and Brad's own product page says: "enjoy a peaceful experience with noise levels below 60dB, even at top speed." Those are the maker's two published figures and they are twenty decibels apart, which on a decibel scale is a large gap rather than a rounding difference.
Neither figure comes with a measurement distance, a speed setting or a standard in the material we read, and we have not measured anything ourselves. If quiet operation is the reason you are buying, treat the maker's own "below 60 dB at top speed" as the conservative published claim and the 40 dB figure as unexplained.
The auto shut-off is consistent across sources: both the Amazon bullet and Bob and Brad's page describe a 10-minute automatic shut-off driven by the internal chipset. That is a useful practical detail — a ten-minute session is the longest run you get before the gun stops by itself.
Size, weight and what comes in the case
The manual's technical details give the device as 18.6 x 14.7 x 6 cm, which it converts to 7.3 x 5.7 x 2.3 inches. Amazon's table gives 6.8"L x 2.4"W x 5.1"H. Those describe a similar palm-sized gun in a different order, so use the manual's figure when checking whether it fits a particular pocket of a gym bag.
Weight is further apart. Bob and Brad's page and the Amazon bullet both say 1.5 lbs (0.68 kg); Amazon's details table says the item weight is 2.86 pounds and the product dimensions line says 2.87 pounds. We report both; the lower figure is the one the maker states for the gun.
A carrying case is included per the Amazon bullet and the details field, along with a Type-C cable. No wall adapter is listed as included in anything we read, which matters given the manual's insistence on a 5V 2A USB-A output. Amazon also flags the product as FSA and HSA eligible; check that with your own plan administrator rather than relying on a listing bullet.
Warranty, support and the safety pages we could not read
The manual's Guarantee page says: "This product comes with a one-year warranty from the date of purchase," voided by damage from improper use or storage, by attempts to repair or disassemble the device, or by the period expiring. The manual's back page repeats that every Bob and Brad product is backed by a 1-year warranty, and says the company will exchange, replace or refund under it. Bob and Brad's product page says something different: "TWO years extended warranty, and no additional registration is required."
So the maker's website advertises two years while the document in the box says one. Ask Bob and Brad in writing which term applies to an Amazon purchase, and keep the answer.
