Buy an oven format if you need pans and racks

The BOV900BSS Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro is a countertop oven with thirteen functions, rather than a pull-out basket fryer. Its maker describes room for most 9 × 13-inch pans, nine slices of toast or a thirteen-inch pizza. Consider it when that pan-and-rack format is useful for more than air frying. Verify the outside dimensions and handles of your own cookware; a nominal pan size does not guarantee every pan fits.

Plan a permanent working space

Breville's current specifications list 21.4 inches wide, 17.3 inches deep and 12.7 inches high, with a weight of 38.89 pounds. The manual requires four inches at each side and six inches above during use. Allow additional practical room to open the door and handle hot pans. This is a substantial countertop commitment, not a small basket appliance to move casually between cupboards and the counter.

Four-tray capability is not four included baskets

The current included-accessory list names two oven racks, a thirteen-inch pizza pan, a 9 × 13-inch broil rack and enamel roasting pan, and one mesh basket for air frying or dehydrating. The claim that the oven can dehydrate on up to four trays describes a supported setup, not four supplied mesh baskets. Check compatible extras before budgeting for multi-tray use.

Use the maker's six-element specification

Breville identifies six independently controlled quartz heating elements, a 1,800-watt rating and an overall 80–480°F range. A current Amazon feature bullet instead says five elements; this guide follows the maker's exact BOV900 page. The oven's thirteen modes include Air Fry and Dehydrate alongside Toast, Bake, Roast and other oven functions. Mode names and a maximum temperature do not establish measured crisping speed or replace checking the food.

Expect tray and cavity cleaning, not only a basket rinse

The BOV900 manual recommends warm soapy hand washing for accessories and does not recommend putting them in the dishwasher, to extend their life. It also calls for clearing the crumb tray after each use and keeping that tray installed during cooking. Let the oven and parts cool and unplug before cleaning. The interior has a nonstick coating, so the stainless exterior should not be read as a coating-free cooking cavity.

An oven format gives you pan and rack choices but also leaves an interior, door and crumb tray to maintain. Choose it for that format's usefulness, not an unsupported assumption that it cleans more easily or air-fries faster than every basket model. We have not measured noise, exterior heat or long-term reliability.
