Kit or tool: what SNT2134 means

EGO lists the SNT2130 as the snow blower only and the SNT2134 as the blower with two 6.0Ah batteries and a dual-port charger. The manual covers the SNT2130. The Amazon listing's model field reads SNT2134.

The manual's packing list names the blower, the discharge chute, the manual and a 5 mm Allen key. The side rails ship folded; you pivot them up to a comfortable height and close the quick-release levers, and the manual says never to start the blower with the side rails folded down.

Size, throw and power claims

The manual gives a 21 in. clearing width, a 13 in. intake height, 9 in. wheels, a throw of up to 45 feet and 66 lbs without batteries. EGO's page says its brushless motor delivers up to 50% more power than the SNT2110, and claims up to a 14-car driveway with 8 inches of snow on two 6.0Ah batteries.

The chute turns 100 degrees left and right, with separate handle levers for direction and pitch. The manual lists an IPX4 splash rating that is valid when the battery compartment cover is properly closed, and an electric brake that stops the auger within 3 seconds of releasing the bail switch.

Heated grips, app button and batteries

Pressing the heat button warms the grips. The manual warns to check that the rubber coating on the heated areas is intact before turning the heat on, because exposed heating elements can burn skin. An IOT button connects the blower to the EGO Connect app.

The manual says this blower can run on one or two battery packs and recommends two 5.0Ah or larger packs for best performance. It still advises against a single battery when snow is deeper than 3 inches or very wet or icy, because the battery can overheat and shut off.

Gravel: the documents disagree

EGO's page lists adjustable skid shoes for gravel and irregular surfaces, and the manual's skid shoe section says to adjust their height on uneven or gravel surfaces. The manual's safety list, though, says not to use the blower on a graveled surface. Treat gravel as a question for EGO before you rely on it.

To clear a clog, remove the batteries, wait 10 seconds for the auger to stop and use a clean-out tool such as a wooden rod, never your hand. The manual also warns never to use the blower on a rooftop or on frozen lakes, rivers or similar surfaces.

Warranty

EGO's page lists a five-year limited tool warranty and a three-year limited battery warranty for this blower. The manual's limited warranty section points to EGO's online warranty policy for the detailed period of each product, so check that page for exclusions before you buy.

Common questions

Does the EGO SNT2134 have heated handles?

Yes. EGO's page and the manual list heated grips, switched on with a heat button.

Can the EGO SNT2134 run on one battery?

Yes, per the manual, but it recommends two 5.0Ah or larger batteries and advises against a single battery in snow deeper than 3 inches or very wet or icy.

Can I use the EGO SNT2134 on gravel?

The documents conflict. The manual's safety list says not to use it on a graveled surface, while its skid shoe section and EGO's page describe adjusting the skid shoes for gravel.
