Chair Fit Check product guide
Nouhaus Strato / Ergo Strato X2 mesh chair, Black (NHO-0025)
Buyers wanting a sliding backrest, headrest and 3D arms
Nouhaus's mesh chair with a ten-level sliding backrest instead of a lumbar pad, a height-adjustable headrest, 3D armrests and three recline positions. The manual lists a 125 kg capacity while the listing bullet says 330 lb, and warranty terms exclude third-party purchases, so confirm both with Nouhaus.

What this listing is and what arrives
The listing names the chair Strato with model number NHO-0025 and UPC 850064178968. Nouhaus sells it on its own site as the Ergo Strato X2, and the store data for the Black version shows SKU NHO-0025BL with that same barcode, so the two describe the same chair. A Gray version is sold as NHO-0025GR.
The listing's included components are the chair and a user guide. The manual refers to an enclosed Allen wrench for tightening the bolts; its assembly steps are diagrams only and are not summarised here. Nouhaus's page lists a weight of 37.48 lb and the listing gives 37.5 lb.
A sliding backrest in place of a lumbar pad
The listing describes a ten-level height-adjustable backrest that replaces a traditional lumbar support. The manual says you lift the backrest to set its height, and the product page gives ten levels over 2.36 inches of travel. If you want a lumbar pad you can move independently of the back, this chair does not list one.
The headrest moves up and down. The armrests adjust by an outer lever for height, then push forward and back and pivot in and out; Nouhaus gives 1.77 inches of height travel, 2.36 inches forward and back, and 30 degrees of rotation. The listing gives a seat height of 17.72 inches and a seat depth of 20.87 inches.
The weight limit depends on which document you read
The sources do not agree. The manual's specification table lists a weight capacity of 125 kg or less, which is about 275 lb, and the listing's detail row also says 275 pounds. The listing's bullet says the chair supports up to 330 lb, and Nouhaus's product page says the gas lift is rated for 330 lb.
Nouhaus's page attaches the 330 lb figure to the gas lift, and no document read explains why the figures differ. If you are near or above 275 lb, ask Nouhaus in writing which figure applies to the complete chair before you buy. The listing also gives a user height range of 4.9 to 6.07 feet, which appears only on the listing.
Size figures also disagree
The manual gives the chair as 65 cm wide, 72.5 cm deep and 120 cm high. Nouhaus's product page lists 28.94 inches wide by 25.59 inches deep, with a height of 48.43 to 54.33 inches, while the listing gives 28.94 inches for both depth and width. Measure your desk opening against the larger depth figure.
The recline has three positions, which the product page names as 108 degrees for work, 118 for reading and 128 for relaxing. The manual says the right handle's flap pushes forward or back to lock and unlock the tilt, pulls up for seat height, and a knob sets tilt tension.
Setup and upkeep from the manual
The manual asks you to check that the bolts are tight before first use, then re-tighten them every six months with the enclosed Allen wrench. Nouhaus's warranty page asks you to report damage or missing parts on arrival within 72 hours and to keep the packaging.
The manual says the wheels suit carpet, chair mats, soft floors and hardwood floors. It has a list of use precautions, including not standing on the chair; read that list in the manual itself rather than relying on a summary. Nouhaus's warranty excludes damage caused during self-assembly when the manual's steps are not followed.
Returns and warranty conditions to check first
The manual says change-of-mind exchanges and returns are possible only within seven days of purchase, with round-trip shipping charged, and subjective complaints such as noise or fit are not accepted for exchange. It offers free service for one year from purchase, shortened to six months for commercial or shared-facility use. Those terms describe Nouhaus's own process; check the Amazon return window separately.
The warranty page lists frame, caster, recline, tilt, gas lift and armrest mechanism failures, counts the period from the date of shipping rather than purchase, and requires notice within 14 days of a defect with photos or video and an order number. It also says warranties are not honored for third-party purchases, so confirm with Nouhaus whether an Amazon order qualifies.
