The casters are for carpet

Controls and the flexible lumbar
The booklet puts the seat-height lever under the right side of the seat and the tilt-lockout lever under the left: pull it up and lean back to tilt, or sit upright and push it down to lock. A round black knob under the front centre of the seat sets tilt tension, and turning it clockwise makes rocking easier. The seat swivels 360 degrees.
There is no lumbar knob, arm adjustment or seat slide in the booklet. The lumbar area is upholstered to flex, and the booklet warns it may shift in shipping; after assembly you may need to re-centre it with a slight tug up or down. Assembly and upkeep
Assembly takes nine steps with the supplied Allen key: casters and gas lift into the base, seat plate onto the seat, the two control levers into cable receivers under the seat, then the arms to the seat and the back to the arms, leaving bolts loose until the back is pivoted upright and everything is tightened together.
The booklet says not to use power tools and to check and re-tighten all bolts every 90 days. Use the chair indoors only, away from direct sun, heat and damp, and do not stand on the seat. Clean the upholstery with a damp cloth only, never with alcohol or bleach cleaners, and spot-test any cleaner out of sight first.
Warranty: ten years, one year on coverings
The booklet's warranty covers the original purchase for ten years against defects in materials and workmanship. Fabrics, foam, veneer finishes and other covering materials are covered for only one year. Office Depot's page lists a ten-year limited warranty, while the Amazon listing's warranty field says one-year limited; in the booklet, one year is the term for coverings only.
A receipt is required and claims without one may be rejected. Remedies are repair, replacement, or a refund as an Office Depot merchandise card. Misuse, improper cleaning, modifications and chairs not assembled or maintained as instructed are excluded, and the warranty applies only in the United States and Canada.
