What is in the box
SKIL's includes list names the table saw with its integrated folding stand, a blade guard, a push stick, a miter gauge, an anti-kickback pawl, a dust port elbow, two wrenches, a riving knife, a rip fence, a 24-tooth blade and a drive knob with washer and hex screw. The Amazon listing's model field reads TS6307-00.
The manual says the saw and stand ship in one carton and are integrated, and it asks you to check that the stand is still securely fastened before any use. It also says not to stand on the stand or use it as a ladder, and not to use the saw if the stand tips, slides or moves.
Rip, depth and bevel
The manual's specifications list 15 amps, a no-load speed of 4,600 rpm, a 10 in. blade on a 5/8 in. arbor and a bevel range of -2 to 47 degrees. Depth is 3-1/2 in. at 90 degrees and 2-1/2 in. at 45, and SKIL's page says it cuts material up to 4x4 at 90 degrees.
Rip capacity is 25.5 in. to the right of the blade and 14 in. to the left, per the manual and SKIL's page. SKIL describes rack and pinion fence rails, a micro-adjustment to set the blade parallel to the fence and miter slot, and a coated cast aluminum tabletop.
Dado cuts on the SKIL
SKIL's page says that when using a dado insert, the saw needs an 8 in. dado blade set. The manual's specification table gives a maximum dado width of 5/8 in. and warns to use dado sets only 8 in. in diameter, because the saw is not designed for other sizes.
The manual's stacked dado steps refer to a combination nut and washer that come with the dado insert, and they remove the standard table insert and the guard system first. SKIL's includes list does not name a dado insert, so check that before you plan dado work.
Switch, dust and guarding
The power switch has a hole for a padlock to prevent accidental starting, per the manual. SKIL's page lists a dust port elbow that redirects dust into a container. The manual says to restore the riving knife to its up position and refit the guard and anti-kickback device after any non-through cut such as a dado or rabbet.
The manual lists tools you supply for setup: a combination square, which it says must be true, and a 2.5 mm hex wrench. A 5 mm hex wrench with a Phillips end comes with the saw.
Warranty: register within 30 days
The manual's limited warranty from Chervon North America gives three years from purchase only if the original buyer registers the saw within 30 days, online at Registermyskil.com or with the card in the box. Buyers who do not register get SKIL's standard one-year home-use warranty.
Professional use is covered for 90 days. The remedy is repair or replacement of defective parts, and you return the complete product, transportation prepaid, to a SKIL factory service center or authorized service station. Blades and other accessories are excluded.
