The numbers TOPDON's own documents publish
TOPDON's product page and its JS3000 Product Profile agree on the headline figures: 3000 peak amps, a 24000 mAh pack given as 88.8 watt-hours, and start-up capacity of 9 litre gas and 7 litre diesel engines on 12-volt batteries. Those three lines are the ones both maker documents state for this model.
The listing repeats the 3000 figure as peak output current but puts 2000 in its separate amperage field, which no TOPDON document we read explains. The listing's description also adds a 750-amp continuous output for two seconds. That continuous figure does not appear on TOPDON's product page or in the product profile.
On starts per charge, TOPDON says up to 45. Its support knowledge base attaches an important qualifier to that number: it describes 45 as laboratory simulation data, and says the real count depends on how deeply the vehicle battery is depleted, the engine displacement, and the fact that cold conditions reduce the device's discharge capacity.
Ports and outputs, from the product profile
The profile's specification table is the most precise source here. Input is USB-C PD45W at 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A and 15V/3A. Output covers USB-C PD45W at those same steps plus 20V/2.25A, a first USB port at QC18W giving 5V/3A, 9V/2A and 12V/1.5A, a second USB port at 5V/2A, and a DC output of 10 amps at a maximum of 16.8 volts.
That DC figure is worth reading twice. The port is described as a 12-volt source on the listing but the maker's own maximum is 16.8 volts, so check what any accessory you intend to run will tolerate before plugging it in. TOPDON's support article also notes the JS series will not output below roughly 0.1 amp, and says these devices are not designed for long-term low-current supply.
The profile lists two buttons on the JS3000 itself, a power button and a BOOST button, and its comparison table shows no button on the clamp for this model where the JS1200 and JS2000 rows do have one. It also gives clamp cable lengths of 250 mm on the positive lead and 200 mm on the negative. TOPDON's support article explains that the unequal lengths are deliberate, to stop the two clamps meeting during forced output.
Temperature: the maker and the listing do not agree
TOPDON's product page says the internal design and circuitry keep the JumpSurge3000 going whether the temperature is minus 4 or 140 degrees Fahrenheit, which it also gives as minus 20 to 60 degrees Celsius. That is the range published by the maker on its own site.
The listing's description gives a different range for the same model, saying it handles extreme temperature ranges from 14 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit, or minus 10 to 40 degrees Celsius. Both figures are printed as the product's operating band, and they are not the same band. We are not going to pick one; ask TOPDON support which applies to the unit you receive.
Cold behaviour is documented separately. The support article lists a low-temperature protection among the JS series safeties, describing it as having no external fault symptom: below a certain temperature the unit simply cannot be charged. It also notes that discharge capacity falls in cold conditions, which reduces the number of starts available.
Protections are counted three different ways
The listing claims 10 advanced intelligent protection technologies and names them: overload, spark proof, over current, low temperature, high temperature, reverse charge, reverse polarity, over discharge, short circuit and over voltage. TOPDON's product page claims seven, naming reverse polarities, short circuits, over currents, reverse charges, over discharges, overheating and low temperatures.
The product profile's specification table lists six: short circuit, over current, reverse polarity, reverse charge, over temperature and over discharge. Over voltage, overload and spark proof appear on the listing but in neither TOPDON document we read, and the six in the profile are the only set printed in a specification table.
TOPDON's support article describes how several of those show themselves. Reverse polarity lights a red indicator on the clamp; over current and short circuit light the red indicator and sound the buzzer; overheat protection flashes the four battery level indicators; reverse charge, low temperature and over discharge have no external symptom and simply cut output. The same article also states that sparking can still occur if a clamp makes poor contact.
The four-start lockout, and other behaviour to expect
TOPDON's product page calls it a Stop Spark sensor that suspends use after too many jumps in a ten-minute period. The support article puts numbers on the same thing: after four starts within ten minutes, the relay in the intelligent clamp disconnects automatically, the red and green indicator lights flash alternately, and all output is prohibited until it resets by itself ten minutes later.
There is a second timeout to know about. The support article says the JS3000 turns itself off after ten seconds of inactivity. It also describes a relay engagement sound every three seconds when BOOST is pressed without a battery connected, and calls that normal.
A steady red light has three documented causes in that article: the host overheating after multiple ignitions, which it says recovers after roughly ten minutes of rest; a short circuit at the host's interface; or, if the red light comes on immediately at startup, a faulty device that needs replacing. The full connection procedure belongs in the manual supplied with the unit.
Charging time, and a warranty term we could not verify
TOPDON's support article says the adapter provided with the JumpSurge3000 is a 5V/3A unit and that a full charge with it takes roughly six hours. The listing's bullets describe that supplied adapter as QC18W and say you may use your own adapter up to 45 watts for faster charging, which matches the profile's PD45W input line. The listing also says the unit arrives partially charged and should be fully charged before first use.
Warranty is the weakest point in the sources. The listing's Manufacturer Warranty Description field says 2 Year, while one of its own bullets says the unit is backed by 1-year quality assurance. TOPDON's After-Sales Service Policy does not settle it, because it says the warranty period is defined in the product's user manual and runs from the invoice date, and we could not locate a JS3000 user manual on TOPDON's site.
Two conditions in that policy matter before you buy. TOPDON states the return and refund policy applies only to its official online store and that products bought from other platforms follow those platforms' policies. It also states that global warranty service is not supported, that service is only available at designated TOPDON repair centres, and that repairs requested outside the region of purchase are handled on a paid basis. One more claim is unverified: the listing advertises an IP54-rated enclosure, while TOPDON's page describes the housing only as resistant to water, dust and wear, and the product profile prints no IP code at all.
