The Kilo is a compact cylindrical purifier that draws air in through a perforated 360-degree base and pushes it out of the top. The maker gives the body as 7.6 by 7.6 by 15 inches and the weight as 2.2 kg, which it converts to 4.4 pounds on the same line; the Amazon listing says 8 by 8 by 15 inches and 4.8 pounds. Note that 2.2 kg is about 4.85 pounds, so the maker's own metric-to-imperial conversion does not hold and the listing's 4.8 pounds is the figure consistent with the metric weight.
The maker's box list is one purifier, one filter and one manual. Controls are on the top panel, with three purification modes the maker names as high, medium and quiet sleep, a timer, and a seven-colour ambient light that can be switched off. The listing says the wattage is 23 W. There is no air quality sensor, no auto mode and no app in anything the maker publishes for this model.
The room-size claim has four different answers
This is the single most important thing to understand before buying. The Amazon title says up to 1500 sq ft. The listing's first bullet says four air changes an hour for rooms up to 374 sq ft and 1500 sq ft in one hour. The listing's own details table says maximum room coverage 1076 sq ft, with four air changes an hour at 269 sq ft. The maker's own product page says, flatly, coverage area 25 m² or 269 ft². The same table also carries a stray 'Floor Area: 60.84 square_feet' that matches nothing.
The maker's figure and the details table's fast-turnover figure agree at 269 ft², and 269 ft² at four air changes an hour is arithmetically 1076 ft² at one air change an hour, which is where the table's larger number comes from. Neither 374 nor 1500 follows from the maker's published numbers. Treat 269 ft² as the room this is built for. That is a small bedroom, a study or an office, not a living room and not an open-plan floor.
One CADR figure, in metric, with no standard named
Both the maker and the listing give the same rating: CADR 140 m³/h. Neither names the pollutant it applies to, so there is no separate smoke, dust and pollen set to compare, and neither names a standard or a certifying body. Converted, 140 m³/h is roughly 82 cubic feet per minute, which puts it below the CADR figures published for larger purifiers in this category and is consistent with the 269 ft² coverage rather than with the 1500 in the title.
The listing's details table adds four certification fields at once: Energy Star Certified yes, EPA Certified yes, ETL Listed yes and FCC Certified yes, plus a separate 'Specification Met: CARB Certified'. None of these is repeated in the maker's own product-page text that we read, and we found no document supporting the 'EPA Certified' field. The maker does not publish an ozone figure for this model on the pages read here. If a certification matters to your decision, check the relevant public register for the Kilo yourself rather than relying on a retail attribute field.
Three stages or four, and how often you buy a filter
The listing title and bullets say four-layer filtration; the listing's own details table says three stages and names the layers as pre-filtration, efficient and active carbon; the maker's product page says three-stage filtration and its filter page says the cartridge combines a pre-filter, HEPA particle filtration and an activated carbon layer. Three layers in one cartridge is what the maker describes. The listing also claims a washable, removable pre-filter; the maker's filter page describes a single cylindrical filter that installs through the base without tools and says nothing about washing a separable pre-filter.
The consumable is one cylindrical filter shared across the Kilo, Kilo Plus, Kilo Pro and Miro Pro. The maker says to replace it every four to six months and that actual life varies with use, indoor air quality and how much dust or pet hair is in the home, and the listing's details field agrees at four to six months. The listing claims three filter versions — Original, Pet Allergy and Antibacterial — while the maker's filter page we read offers only the original three-stage filter in one-pack and two-pack. Filter cost every four to six months is the real running cost of this machine; work it out before comparing it to a purifier with a twelve-month filter.
Noise, timer and the parts of the manual we could not read
Both the maker and the listing state a 22 dB sleep mode, and the listing's details table repeats 22 dB as the only noise figure it gives. Neither source publishes a figure for medium or high speed, and neither states the distance or the test condition, so 22 dB describes the quietest setting and tells you nothing about how loud the top speed is. The maker also says the ambient light auto-dims in sleep mode.
The timer does not agree across sources either: the Amazon title says 2, 4, 8 or 16 hours, the listing's details table says 2, 4 or 8, and the maker's own key features say 2, 4 and 8-hour settings. Take 2, 4 and 8 as the settings the maker stands behind. One real gap to flag: the two manual PDFs attached to this listing and the KILO_USER_MANUAL.pdf linked from Afloia's own product page are scanned images rather than text, so the clearance distance, operating temperature range, safety warnings and any maintenance schedule beyond the filter interval could not be checked. Read the printed manual in the box before choosing a spot for it, and given the 360-degree base intake, do not assume it can sit tight against a wall or on carpet.
The warranty is written for buyers on the maker's own site
The Amazon field says Afloia products are covered with a 24-month warranty and lifetime service support. Afloia's own warranty page does not state a duration at all. It is written throughout for products purchased from Afloia.com, and it contains a line worth reading twice: Afloia does not authorise anyone, including retailers, remote purchasers or the subsequent consumer purchaser of the product from a retailer, to obligate Afloia in any way beyond the terms set out on that page. The page also advertises a separately activated three-year extended warranty, offered to existing customers who submit a name, email and order ID through a form.
The remedy is narrow. The page says returns for repair or replacement must be sent freight prepaid and insured to Afloia, by ordinary airmail, with express shipping at your own cost; that no refunds will be given; that liability is limited to repair or replacement of defective parts; and that Afloia may substitute a different product if replacement parts are unavailable. Exclusions run from misuse, accident and liquids through unauthorised accessories, alterations and repairs, improper power supply, voltage variation, drops, transport damage and failure to perform recommended maintenance. Check the seller and the condition of the offer you select, and keep your order details, before assuming a marketplace purchase carries the same cover as one made on the maker's site.
