Amazon lists model and part number TO62D5-1SD with UPC 050875002920. BLACK+DECKER's appliance site shows the Crisp 'N Bake French Door Air Fryer Oven with GTIN 00050875002920 and page code TO62D5-1SD, and links a use and care manual for the TO62D5 series.
BLACK+DECKER lists 12 cooking functions: convection baking, bake, pizza, broil, air fry, fries, reheat, toast, bagel, keep warm, roast and snacks, and says the oven fits a 12-inch pizza or six slices of toast. It has an LED display, a control knob whose indicator light is red when active and blue when paused or on standby, and a convection fan above the upper heating element.
The manual's parts list is the main unit, door handle, glass doors, LED display, control panel and knob, a baking pan, wire rack, drip tray and crisper tray. It says opening one door opens both, that the doors should be opened fully, and never to cook with the doors open. Amazon lists an air fry basket, bake pan, crumb tray and rack.
What each preset does, from the manual's chart
The manual's preset chart lists air fry at a default 425 degrees Fahrenheit, adjustable from 180 to 450 degrees, with the fan on high and no preheat, for 1 to 60 minutes. Fries default to 450 degrees on the same range. Two bake presets are listed, one with the fan on low for up to 60 minutes and one with the fan off for up to 4 hours, both defaulting to 350 degrees.
Broil uses the top elements only at 400 to 450 degrees; pizza defaults to 425; roast defaults to 350 for up to 4 hours; reheat runs 350 to 450 degrees for up to 2 hours; warm runs 150 to 250 degrees for up to 2 hours. Toast and bagel use shade settings rather than a temperature.
The manual says smart preheat applies to every preset except air fry, fries, reheat, toast, bagel and warm. It remembers the last program used; unplugging for a minute resets that memory. When a cook finishes, the fan keeps running briefly.
Placement: 5 inches of space and nothing overhead
The manual says to leave at least 5 inches of free space on the top, back and sides and above the oven, and not to put anything on top of it. It says not to operate it in an enclosed space or under hanging cabinets, because steam is released during operation, and never to cover the air vents on the top, back and sides.
It must sit on a flat, heat-resistant surface and is intended for countertop use only. The manual says not to place it on a cooktop, even a cool one, and to check with your countertop maker or installer about using heat-generating appliances on the surface. It also says not to use it outdoors or with an outlet below the counter.
Size figures differ. BLACK+DECKER's specification block lists 16.77 inches long, 16.85 inches wide and 14.17 inches high, and 16.02 pounds. Amazon's table lists 15.1 by 14.6 by 12.5 inches and 21 pounds. Neither source explains the difference.
Power: 1650 W on its own outlet
BLACK+DECKER's specification block and Amazon both give 1650 watts, and the manual's rating line reads 1650W, 120V, 60Hz. The manual says to plug the power cord into a dedicated wall outlet with no other appliances on the same outlet, because doing so will overload the circuit.
The manual says the cord is short. If an extension cord is used, it says its marked rating should be at least as great as the appliance's, it should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord for a grounded appliance, and it should be arranged so it does not drape over the counter.
To stop a cook, the manual says to press the Cancel button; holding it for 2 seconds shuts the oven off. To check food mid-cook, it says to press Start/Pause before opening the doors.
The drip tray stays in and foil stays out
The manual says the oven must be operated with the drip tray in place, below the bottom heating elements, and never without it. It warns not to cover the drip tray or any part of the oven with metal foil, because that causes overheating, and not to put paper, cardboard or plastic inside.
Bakeware must go on a rack, never directly on the heating elements, according to the manual. It says only to clean the drip tray when the unit is cool, and not to use metal scouring pads.
For cleaning, the manual recommends hand-washing the cooking accessories in warm soapy water and cleaning the inside with mild detergent and a nonabrasive sponge. It says never to submerge the oven, not to wash it in a dishwasher, and not to scrub the heating coils. The first use may produce smoke or odour.
Warranty: two years per BLACK+DECKER
BLACK+DECKER's product page lists a 2 Year Limited Warranty. Amazon's warranty field says only that the manufacturer's warranty can be requested from customer service. The English manual pages we searched ask owners to register at BLACK+DECKER's product-protection site but do not print the warranty terms themselves.
The manual says that if the oven is used improperly, for professional or semi-professional purposes, or not according to the instructions, the guarantee becomes invalid. It also says never to attempt home repair and to contact customer service if troubleshooting does not solve a problem, warning that failing to do so could void the guarantee.
The manual describes the product as for household use only, not commercial use. It says the door handles stay cool and that the metal components can be sharp and hot.
