Three codes for one gun

Amazon sells this as the BOB AND BRAD X6 Pro Massage Gun Deep Tissue Percussion with Metal Head, with the item model number X6 Pro, manufacturer BOB AND BRAD and a first-available date of August 2021. Bob and Brad's own store calls it the X6 Pro Deep Tissue Massage Gun and gives the product code BADUSMSG-004.

The user manual attached to the listing prints a third code on its cover and in its technical table: QL/DMS.X6-C. Neither the store page nor the listing mentions that code, and nothing we read explains how the three relate, so keep all three to hand when you contact support.

The manual's back page lists FLIGE Products LLC of Austin, Texas in its contact block, with a support email at bobandbrad.com and a weekday phone line. The store's Warranty page gives the same email address and lists its open hours as Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM.

The manual's technical table, and where the retail pages differ

The manual's Technical Details block lists the QL/DMS.X6-C with a speed range of 2000 to 3200 r/min, a rated power of 25 W, dimensions of 24.4 by 14.7 by 7.3 cm, printed alongside as 9.6 by 5.7 by 2.9 inches, a battery rated voltage of 14.8 V, a battery capacity of 2500 mAh and a charging time of 180 minutes.

The retail pages describe the motor differently. The Amazon listing says a 120 W brushless motor with a 55 mm diameter, and Bob and Brad's store description also says 120 W. The manual says rated power 25 W. None of the three documents explains the difference, so we report both figures and do not choose between them.

The listing and the store page both give 55 pounds of stall force and speeds up to 3200 rpm, which matches the top of the manual's range. The listing adds a 10.5 mm amplitude and a weight of 1.9 pounds, while Amazon's details block gives 1.98 pounds and 9.61 by 5.79 by 2.87 inches. The store page publishes no amplitude, weight or dimensions.

Noise is stated two ways. The listing says the gun runs at 30 to 50 dB depending on speed, while Bob and Brad's store page says the brushless motor runs at 55 dB. Neither gives a measurement distance, speed or test condition, so the two figures cannot be checked against each other.

Charging: what the manual asks for

The manual asks for a full charge before first use and says a full charge takes about three hours, which matches the 180-minute figure in its technical table. Its battery list says the supplied connection cable goes into the DC charging port at the bottom of the handle and the other end into a mobile power adapter or phone charger rated 5 V and 2 A. It also warns that a supply under 2 A will make charging take longer. The manual names the gun's socket only as a DC charging port and does not name the plug type. Bob and Brad's store contents list includes a charger; the manual does not say what that charger is rated at.

Two lines in the manual are worth reading together. Its battery list says the device can be connected or disconnected, while its Charging section asks you to make sure the device is shut down when charging. We report both lines as printed. The four battery LEDs on the handle indicate charge in quarters, and the first LED flashes when charge falls below 10 percent.

Runtime is a retail claim rather than a manual figure. The listing and the store page both say up to four hours from the 2500 mAh pack, and the listing describes that pack as four cells. No source we read states the speed at which the four-hour figure applies.

Controls, cut-offs and ownership limits

The manual describes a single power button that turns the gun on and off, steps through five speed levels and pauses it, with the backlight showing the active level. The exact button sequence is in the manual's Operation Steps page, and the store's FAQ says that when the gun will not start you should hold the power button for about six to eight seconds.

Two automatic behaviours are documented in the manual. The device turns itself off after ten minutes of operation, and in standby at level zero it shuts down after twenty seconds without any input. The manual also says heads should be fitted with the device off, and warns that a head not fully seated can fall out during use.

The manual's Maintenance section says the battery is not designed to be removed or exchanged by the user, and that opening, repairing or taking the device apart voids the warranty automatically. The manual also carries a Warnings and Safety Concerns section and a Disclaimer; we reproduce neither, and both should be read in the manual before first use.

The heads, and what the metal one is made of

Bob and Brad's What's Included list has seven lines: the X6 Pro massage gun, an all-titanium alloy massage head, five interchangeable massage heads, a 2500 mAh lithium-ion battery, a charger, a portable carrying case and a user manual. The manual's parts page names a ball head, a U-shaped head, an air cushion head, a metal flat head, printed as Metal Falt Head, a bullet head and a rubber sleeve.

The manual says each head comes fitted with a rubber sleeve and that a spare is supplied. The store FAQ describes the rubber ring in the box the same way, as a replacement ring for the attachment heads.

The metal head's material is stated two ways on the same maker page. The contents list and the product description call it all-titanium alloy, while the Key Features list and a feature panel call it an aluminum head. The Amazon bullet says all-titanium alloy. We cannot tell which is correct, so ask Bob and Brad before buying if the material matters to you.

Warranty: one year in some documents, two in others

The user manual's Guarantee section says the product comes with a one-year warranty from the date of purchase, void for damage from improper usage or storage, for attempted repair or disassembly, or once the period is exceeded. Its back page and Bob and Brad's Warranty page both say every Bob and Brad product is backed by a one-year warranty, with exchange, replacement or refund, and the Warranty page adds that no registration is needed.

The X6 Pro store page advertises a two-year extended warranty with no registration required. The FAQ block on the same page says Amazon purchases from sellers it names, including Bob and Brad Direct and Bob and Brad Official, carry a two-year warranty on product defects. The Refund policy page says products bought new through official stores, named as Amazon, eBay, Walmart and BobandBrad.com, get a two-year limited warranty with an order number or proof of purchase, and excludes used, refurbished and secondhand units.

So the term appears as one year in three places and as two years in three others. We report both and choose neither. Keep the order number, and ask Bob and Brad to confirm in writing which term applies to your purchase.

On returns, the Refund policy page opens by telling customers to contact the original place of purchase for any return or support request, including purchases on third-party platforms. The store FAQ says Amazon purchases from the named sellers can be returned to Amazon within 30 days. For purchases from Bob and Brad itself, the policy gives 30 days, return shipping at the customer's cost and a restocking fee on non-defective returns.
