That does not make the V6 Shift a bad buy, but it changes what you are buying.
Because Bushnell lists the model as discontinued, the offer you see may come from a range of sellers rather than from Bushnell directly. Check the seller and the condition of the specific offer you select, and confirm it is new before you order.
It also matters for warranty. Bushnell's support pages describe repair through its own lab, so keep a proof of purchase showing when and from whom the unit was bought, and register the device with Bushnell if you buy it.
The slope switch is the feature the model is named for

The listing does not publish a separate maximum flag-lock distance.
Six times magnification is the common figure for golf lasers and is a compromise: enough to pick a pin out at distance, not so much that a hand-held unit becomes hard to hold steady. If you have shaky hands, that is worth trying in person rather than reading about.

Warranty: Bushnell publishes two different figures
Bushnell's support and help centre is explicit: all Bushnell Golf devices come with a free limited warranty, one year for GPS units and two years for laser rangefinders, guaranteeing the products to be free of defects in materials and workmanship. A rangefinder is a laser, so that is the two-year line, and it matches Amazon's listing field of "2 Year Manufacturer".
The Tour V6 Shift product page on the same site carries a badge reading 1-Year Warranty alongside free shipping and 30-day returns. That is the GPS figure on a laser product page, and the two Bushnell pages do not agree. We are not choosing between them; ask Bushnell to confirm the term for SKU 202321P and get it in writing.
Bushnell's support page also answers a question owners actually hit: small dots in the lens caused by sun exposure, which it calls solar burns and describes as cosmetic. It says that issue is covered by warranty within two years of ownership and tells you to use the contact form. Bushnell asks that out-of-warranty units be discussed before anything is sent to its repair lab.
Who this suits and what to check before ordering
This suits a golfer who rides a cart, wants slope-adjusted numbers most of the time and a visible way to switch them off for competition, and is comfortable buying a model the maker has retired in favour of a newer one.
