This is the White GS24, sold next to a separate MTL version
The GS24 is Gogogo Sport's laser rangefinder for golf, powered by two AAA batteries and offering a fast-reading mode, a golf mode with flag lock and slope readings, and a speed mode. On this Amazon page the White option is one of three choices; GS24Black and GS24MTL appear as separate options with their own product codes.
The maker's own page sells two versions, GS24 and GS24MTL, and states that the main differences between them are the slope switch and the built-in magnetic mount. That matters for what you receive: the version question decides whether you can turn slope off and whether the unit sticks to a cart.
The White option does not list a slope switch or magnet
Gogogo's product page labels the tournament-legal slope-off mode as a GS24MTL feature and says of the built-in magnet that only the GS24 MTL has it. The English manual marks the slope switch, slope indicator and magnet mount as present on some versions only, and says you can turn the slope function off if you purchased the TL or MTL version.
The Amazon bullets say all models have slope functions and that the MTL version adds the slope switch and magnetic mount. Neither the listing nor the maker page says the White option has either feature, and the MTL is sold as a separate option on the same page. Assume the White unit has slope readings that cannot be switched off and no magnet unless the seller confirms otherwise.
Range and magnification, and three different flag-lock figures
The Amazon title and the maker page both give a 1200-yard maximum and 7x magnification, and the maker page describes these as part of a 2026 upgrade. The listing's own Features and Specs table says 6x instead, and its Measuring Range field reads plus or minus 20 degrees, which is an angle rather than a distance. Accuracy is plus or minus 0.1 metre in the bullets and plus or minus one yard on the maker page.
Flag-lock distance varies by source. The Amazon bullets say up to 150 yards on the flagpole alone and 250 yards with the flag unfolded. The maker page says 250 yards for flagpole lock and 300 yards for flag lock, with a 0.38-second lock. The English manual says the flag-lock function supports a maximum range of 250 yards. Plan around 250 yards as the figure two sources share.
How the three modes work, including speed
The manual describes mode 1 as a fast-reading distance mode. Mode 2 is the golf mode: it scans an area and returns the shortest distance measured, shows a circle around the flag icon when a flag is locked, and displays both the straight-line distance and a slope-compensated distance with the angle. The maker page adds that a vibration confirms the lock.
Mode 3 is the speed mode. You switch modes with the M button; a long press of M in mode 1 or 2 changes the unit of measurement, which the manual says cannot be done in mode 3. If the view looks blurred, the manual asks you to twist the eyepiece to adjust focus.
Two AAA batteries, a carry case and rain care
The manual says the GS24 uses two regular AAA batteries, and the maker page stresses that no charging is required. The listing's battery field also says AAA. The manual's package list is the rangefinder, a carrying case, a lanyard, the user manual and a lens cleaning cloth; the maker's What's in box tab gives the same items, calling the lanyard a rope.
Amazon lists the unit as IP54 and Water Resistant. The manual's notice page does not recommend exposing it to heavy rain, asks you to put it back in the case after each use in heavy rain, and says that if it stops working after rain you should dry it in a dry closed container for one to two days. It also says not to range through glass, not to touch the lens coating and not to disassemble it.
Check the product code and warranty before buying
The Amazon listing gives model and part number GS24 and UPC 665427697211. The maker's product data lists the GS24 variant as SKU GS24D-1200 with barcode 665427697839, and the GS24MTL as GS24DM-1200 with barcode 665427697846. The model name matches but the UPC matches neither maker barcode, so confirm with the seller which GS24 build you will receive.
The only warranty statement we found is on Amazon: the listing's warranty field and bullets say one year and invite you to contact the seller about quality issues. The manual pages we read contain no warranty terms, and the maker page's Warranty tab shows shipping information only. Neither source states what the year covers or how claims are handled, so ask before you rely on it.
