What the ES6 is, from the manual and ECOROAD's page

The ES6 is ECOROAD's single-motor model. The manual's specification page, headed ES6, lists a 1000-watt motor, a 48-volt 13 amp-hour battery, a weight of 55.9 pounds and a maximum load of 330 pounds. ECOROAD's product page repeats those numbers and adds a 624 watt-hour battery figure and a 31 mile-per-hour top speed.

The listing words the motor differently. Its bullet calls it a true 800-watt motor with a 1000-watt peak, while the manual and ECOROAD's page simply say 1000 watts. Neither maker document mentions an 800-watt figure, so treat 1000 watts as the maker's stated rating and ask ECOROAD if the continuous rating matters to you.

ECOROAD's page describes front hydraulic suspension with a rear swingarm, dual disc brakes with electronic EABS braking, four LED headlights, RGB side lighting and an app for ride tracking, settings and touch unlock. The listing details table also lists adjustable handlebar height.

Size and fold

The manual and ECOROAD's page agree on the unfolded size, 48 by 22.3 by 52 inches, and a folded size of 48 by 7.8 by 17 inches. The listing details table rounds the height to 51.9 inches. Folding cuts the width from 22.3 to 7.8 inches and the height from 52 to 17 inches, while the 48-inch length stays the same.

ECOROAD says the fold is a three-second quick-folding mechanism that saves 40 percent of the space. At 55.9 pounds, it is still a heavy item to lift into a car boot, so check the 48-inch folded length against the space you have.

ECOROAD's product page gives a deck width of 205 millimetres, a recommended rider age of 14 and up, and a recommended rider height of 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet 3 inches. The manual's specification page states the same age but does not list a rider height.

Range: 25 to 31, 37 or 40 miles

Each source gives a different range. The manual's specification table says 25 to 31 miles, measured in a laboratory at full battery, with a note that load, humidity, wind speed and riding habits change the result. ECOROAD's product page and FAQ say up to 37 miles, and the listing says 40 miles.

The manual's display page links the four riding modes to top speeds of 9, 15, 21 and 31 miles per hour, and ECOROAD's specification block lists the same four speeds. Neither document gives a per-mode range for the ES6, so the higher figures cannot be tied to a particular mode.

Plan around the manual's 25 to 31 miles if you ride in the faster modes, and treat 40 miles as the listing's claim rather than ECOROAD's own figure. Charging takes six to seven hours in the manual and on ECOROAD's page, and the listing details table says six hours.

What is actually in the box

The listing details table says the included components are a charger, the scooter, a helmet, a storage bag and a U-lock. ECOROAD's own what's-in-the-box line lists only the scooter, a charger and an instruction manual, and it does not mention a helmet, bag or lock.

The manual's package contents page is pictures only: the scooter, a rear fender with two screws, a Y-shaped wrench, a charger and two booklets. No helmet, bag or lock appears there either, so confirm with the seller before counting on those extras.

The tyre type also differs between sources. The listing calls them 10-inch tubeless off-road tyres, while ECOROAD's product page and specification block say 10-inch pneumatic off-road tyres. The manual's specification table does not state a tyre type.

Water rating and temperature limits

The manual's specification table and ECOROAD's specification block both give an IPX4 waterproof rating, while a key-features line higher on ECOROAD's page says IP54. The warranty policy sets the practical line: light rain and puddles are covered, but soaking or prolonged strong rain invalidates the warranty.

The manual sets an operating temperature range of 28.4 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit, or minus 2 to 35 degrees Celsius, so check it against your winter and summer riding. The charger takes 100 to 240 volts and puts out 54.6 volts at 2 amps, and ECOROAD's page lists the same charger output.

The manual's load note says the frame is designed for 330 pounds and recommends a load of 70 percent of that maximum, which works out to about 231 pounds. ECOROAD's FAQ says the scooter arrives mostly assembled and that basic setup takes 20 to 30 minutes with the included tools.

Warranty: 12 months, shorter for parts

ECOROAD's product page promises a one-year whole-scooter warranty, and its warranty policy gives 12 months against defects in material and workmanship from the day you receive the scooter. The listing details table instead says a 180-day warranty for different parts.

The policy's parts table sets shorter terms than that headline. The battery, charger, controller, LCD display, accelerator, fenders and kickstand are covered for six months, and tyres, brakes, brake grips and brake cables for three months. Consumables, normal wear, cosmetic damage and crash damage are excluded.

Claims go first to the store you bought from, so an Amazon buyer starts with that seller. You need the original proof of purchase showing the serial number and date, and opening or modifying the scooter with non-original parts or by a non-licensed person invalidates the warranty.
