EGO POWER+ CS1815 18-Inch 56V Chainsaw Kit with 6.0Ah Battery
EGO battery owners who want an 18-inch cordless saw kit with a large battery
The CS1815 kit pairs EGO's 18-inch CS1810 brushless saw with a 6.0Ah battery and a 320W charger. It runs 3/8-inch, 0.050-inch gauge chain with 62 links, needs bar oil before first use and asks for weekly nose-sprocket greasing. The saw alone weighs 7.9 pounds, and warranty cover depends on buying from an authorised EGO retailer.

What the CS1815 kit contains
EGO's configurations table lists CS1815 as the 18-inch chain saw with a 6.0 amp-hour battery and a 320-watt charger, and CS1810 as the saw alone. Amazon's listing matches: model CS1815, with the 6.0Ah battery and 320W charger as included components. The operator's manual EGO links on that page covers the CS1810 and CS1810-FC saw.
The manual's packing list for the saw names the chain saw, a chain sheath and the operator's manual, and it says the product ships completely assembled. Bar and chain oil is not on that list, and the manual's cover says to fill the oil tank with bar and chain oil before first use, so buy oil with the saw.
Bar, chain and motor figures
The manual specifies a 56-volt saw with an 18-inch (45 centimetre) guide bar, 3/8-inch pitch, 0.050-inch gauge chain with 62 drive links and a maximum chain speed of 22 metres per second. EGO's page adds a 2,500-watt brushless motor and describes the power as equivalent to a 50cc gas saw, which is EGO's comparison rather than a measured figure we checked.
One listing bullet prints the gauge as 0.50 inch; EGO's page and manual both say 0.050 inch, so use the maker's figure when buying chain. The manual says to use only EGO's AG1400, AG1600 or AG1800 bars and AC1400, AC1600 or AC1800 chains. The parts listed on EGO's product page are labelled for the CS1800 18-inch saw, so confirm the part number against the manual before ordering.
Cuts per charge: the battery named differs
EGO's product page states up to 330 cuts on a 4x4 per charge, but its headline attaches that figure to a 5.0Ah battery while the details and tech specs attach it to the included 6.0Ah battery. The Amazon listing uses the 6.0Ah version. We did not test either, and a cut count on dimensional lumber does not predict how many logs of your size you will cut.
The listing also says the 6.0Ah battery charges in 80 minutes on the included charger, which it calls CH3200. EGO's product page only names a 320-watt charger and gives no charge time, so treat the 80 minutes as the listing's claim. The listing says the saw works with all EGO 56V ARC Lithium batteries.
Weight and weather limits
The manual gives the saw's weight as 7.9 pounds without the battery, chain, bar, side cover, oil and sheath. Amazon's table lists 28 pounds without saying what is included. Neither figure is the working weight with the 6.0Ah battery, bar, chain and oil fitted, and none of the sources we read states that working weight.
The manual gives an operating range of 5 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit and a storage range of minus 4 to 158 degrees. EGO's page lists an IPX4 rating, and the manual adds that the rating is based on the saw and battery used together. EGO's warranty excludes damage from contact with or immersion in water, and the manual says never to immerse the saw when cleaning.
Care between cuts
The manual asks you to brush debris from the chain and bar after each use, wipe the saw with a cloth moistened with mild soap, and remove the side cover to clean the bar, chain, sprocket and cover. It warns against solvents on the plastic parts, and says to clean the bar groove whenever you replace the chain.
The bar's nose sprocket must be greased weekly with a grease syringe through the lubricating hole. Store the saw indoors in a dry, locked place with the battery removed and the sheath on, away from garden chemicals and de-icing salts. The manual's safety, kickback and cutting chapters were not read for this page; read them in the manual before first use.
Warranty terms and the authorised-seller rule
EGO's current policy gives outdoor power equipment five years for consumer use and one year for professional use, and ARC Lithium batteries and chargers three years for consumer use. Bars and saw chains count as routine maintenance parts with 90 days. The policy says it supersedes the warranty text printed in product manuals.
Coverage applies only to the original purchaser buying from an authorised EGO retailer, and EGO says it may reject claims for products bought from unauthorised sellers, including unauthorised internet sites. Check the seller of the offer you choose against EGO's store locator, and keep the dated receipt. Rental use voids the warranty.
To claim, you call EGO with the receipt, and an authorised service centre evaluates the saw. EGO says a refundable deposit may be required at drop-off and that transport to and from the service centre is at your expense.
