What the C30 is
The eufy Security Smart Lock C30 is a Wi-Fi keypad deadbolt with physical buttons and a keyed cylinder. eufy's product page says it has built-in Wi-Fi with no bridge required, and lists unlocking by app, physical key, physical button, or voice through Alexa or Google Assistant.
This listing's model name is T85D0111 and its UPC is 194644206154; eufy's C30 page carries the same product code and GTIN in its product data. eufy offers the C30 in Contemporary and Traditional styles, and this listing is Contemporary in black.
Door fit
The installation guide lists a backset of 2-3/8 inches (60 mm) or 2-3/4 inches (70 mm), a door thickness of 1-3/8 to 2-1/6 inches (35 to 55 mm), a cross bore of 1-1/2 inches (38 mm) or 2-1/8 inches (54 mm), a 1-inch (25 mm) latch hole and a minimum distance of 2-3/8 inches. It says standard US doors are compatible.
eufy's FAQ adds that the C30 does not fit a rounded latch hole and tells you to install it with the eufy deadbolt provided. The guide says the latch hole should be 1 inch deep or calibration may fail. We do not reproduce installation steps.
Batteries are not in the box
eufy's FAQ states that batteries are not included, and the installation guide tells you to prepare four AA batteries and a Phillips screwdriver before you start. The listing says the lock is powered by 4 AA batteries for up to 5 months, and eufy's FAQ gives roughly 5 months based on unlocking 20 to 30 times a day.
The listing mentions a low battery indicator and eufy's page lists low battery alerts. eufy ties its roughly 5-month estimate to 20 to 30 unlocks a day and gives no figure for other usage in the documents we read.
Weather rating: the listing and eufy differ
The listing says the exterior assembly is IP53 waterproof. eufy's product page says the lock features IPX3 waterproofing. Both give an operating range of -22°F to 158°F, and eufy's FAQ gives that range for the exterior lock.
Neither source explains the difference between IP53 and IPX3. The listing also cites BHMA Grade 3 certification, and eufy's page lists BHMA certification among its features without stating a grade. We report these ratings as stated and do not interpret them.
Codes, app and integrations
eufy's FAQ says the C30 stores up to 100 passcodes. The product page lists auto-lock, anti-peep protection, low battery alerts and wrong-try protection, and the listing describes an auto-lock countdown and no monthly fee.
The installation guide says you need the eufy Security app and an account to add the lock. eufy's FAQ states the C30 is not yet compatible with Apple HomeKit, IFTTT or Matter, and works with eufy video doorbells and eufy security cameras.
Warranty
eufy's product page describes an 18-month warranty with support by telephone, email and live chat, and the listing's bullet mentions 18-month protection. We did not read eufy's warranty terms page, so check it for conditions before relying on them.
