What the IM-02 is: Euhomy's Lucid M1, 100 lb version
The listing's model and part number is IM-02, and Euhomy's own product page for the Lucid M1 Cube Commercial Ice Maker carries SKU IM-02 for its 100 lbs per 24 hours version; the same page also sells 150 lb and 200 lb versions. This page covers the 100 lb unit sold on this listing.
It is a cube ice maker. Euhomy's specification table gives 100 lbs (45.4 kg) of ice a day, 45 cubes per cycle in 11 to 20 minutes, a rated current of 2.5 A and R290 refrigerant. The listing says 45 cubes in 11 to 15 minutes and lists 198 watts at 115 volts.
Euhomy's box list is the ice machine, an ice scoop, a water supply pipe, a water drain pipe and connection accessories. The manual describes a 2-metre white drain pipe, a quick connector for a faucet and a 3-metre, 6.35 mm water supply pipe. Euhomy's page FAQ also mentions a white protective film on the machine.
It needs a water supply and a drain below it
This is not a pour-in machine. Euhomy's FAQ guide says it requires a water supply and a drain, with a water pipe outlet or floor drain, and the listing says it uses gravity drainage with no pump, so the drain hose must sit lower than the machine. Euhomy's page FAQ adds that the drain port has a black plug and that the drain pipe should be kept connected.
The manual's location rules: not for outdoor use, not near any heat source, on a firm, level surface at normal countertop height, with at least 5 cm clearance at the rear and 25 cm at the front. Nothing should be put on top of the machine.
The manual's safety pages say the machine must be earthed on a 110 to 120 V, 60 Hz supply, that it should be installed in line with ASHRAE 15, and that it must not be installed in corridors or hallways of public buildings. Both the listing and the FAQ guide say to keep it upright for 24 hours before first use.
Outdoor and commercial use: the sources disagree
The listing says the machine can be used in indoor or outdoor kitchens and describes it as ETL certified for household and commercial use, naming restaurants, bars, hotels and grocery stores. Euhomy's manual and its FAQ guide both say it is not for outdoor use.
The warranty in the manual excludes commercial or non-household use, while the manual's safety page describes intended use in household and similar settings such as staff kitchens, offices, hotels, bed and breakfasts and non-retail catering. We did not read an ETL certificate for this model and are reporting each source as written.
The documents we read do not reconcile these statements. The manual asks owners to register at euhomy.com/register, and the FAQ guide gives support@euhomy.com as the contact for questions about use.
Cleaning advice that contradicts itself
The manual and Euhomy's product page both recommend cleaning at least once a week, and the manual says scale build-up can block the pump. Euhomy's page says the one-touch self-cleaning cycle is automatic and takes about 20 minutes, and the listing recommends running the self-clean cycle twice before using the first batch of ice.
What to clean with is where the documents conflict. The Q&A in the listing's manual recommends lemon water or weak vinegar. The FAQ guide says not to use acidic substances such as lemon juice or vinegar because they can corrode the evaporator and leave a blue-green residue, and recommends a neutral, nickel-safe cleaner; Euhomy's product page FAQ also names a nickel-safe cleaner for limescale.
Draining also differs: the manual's Q&A says to drain the water tank at least every three days using the small hose on the right of the tank, while the FAQ guide says once a day. Neither document explains the difference.
Storage bin, ice size and melting
The listing and Euhomy's page headline say it holds up to 33 lbs of ice, while the specification table on the same Euhomy page gives the ice basket capacity as 28.6 lbs (13.0 kg). Both figures are Euhomy's own.
Euhomy's page describes three ice thickness levels and 24-hour scheduling. Its FAQ says the thickness setting is adjusted with the plus and minus buttons in one-minute steps from a default of 0, and the manual's Q&A says to shorten the time with the minus key if the ice is too thick.
The bin is not refrigerated. Euhomy's FAQs say the ice maker does not keep ice frozen, that high room temperatures speed melting, that closing the lid helps, and that ice you will not use for a while should go into a refrigerator. The FAQ guide's troubleshooting table lists a room that is too hot or too cold and suggests somewhere below 90 F.
Size, weight and warranty
Size and weight differ by source. Euhomy's page gives 17.7 by 15.8 by 31.5 inches and 53.57 lbs for the 100 lb version, while the listing gives 17.52 wide by 15.96 deep by 31.3 inches high and 66.6 pounds. We cannot tell which figures include packaging.
The manual's warranty is a limited 1-year warranty on products bought new and unused from Euhomy, with original proof of purchase, covering defects in manufacture, parts or workmanship through repair or replacement. It excludes normal wear and tear, abuse or failure to follow instructions, liquid or foreign-particle damage, servicing by others and commercial or non-household use, and is void after unauthorized repairs or non-Euhomy parts.
The manual says product registration is not required to activate the warranty and does not replace the receipt. Amazon's warranty field shows 1 year manufacturer.
