A small countertop nugget ice maker you fill by hand
The SLIM17B is Silonn's compact countertop nugget ice maker; the listing gives the model number as SLIM17B and the part number as SLIM17B-4, and Silonn's own page for the Countertop Nugget Ice Maker (33 Lbs) names SLIM17B. The manual covers SLIM17B together with SLIM17T, SLIM17G1 and SLIM17G, and gives the same specifications for SLIM17B, SLIM17G1 and SLIM17G.
There is no water line. You pour drinking water into the reservoir up to the MAX mark, and the manual's specifications give the water reservoir as 1.1 L and the ice basket as holding 1.76 lb (0.8 kg). The ADD WATER light turns red when water is needed, and the ICE FULL light when the basket is full; the machine detects a full basket and stops.
The listing's box list is an ice scoop, an ice basket and the user manual. The manual's parts diagram shows a removable top cover, a secondary water reservoir, a filter, a drain plug and an air exhaust fan, and says to pull the cover off using the opening under the left side.
How much ice, and how fast
The manual's specification table gives an ice-making rate of 33 lbs per day, and Silonn's page and the listing's first bullet say up to 33 lbs. The listing's title and its Ice Production per Day field say 36 lbs instead. We are reporting both figures as printed.
For the first batch, the listing and Silonn's page say the first round takes only 6 minutes, while the manual's how-to page says to wait 6 to 8 minutes. The manual also says ice shape improves over more cycles.
Silonn's page puts the noise at 47 dB. The manual gives the electrical rating as 115 V, 60 Hz and 2.7 A while making ice, and the listing's table lists 160 watts. The refrigerant is R600a, which the manual's safety section flags as flammable.
Room, water temperature and clearance limits
Before first use the manual says to stand the machine upright for 24 hours. It gives a usable room range of 10 C to 32 C and says not to use it below 41 F (5 C). For a red flashing ring, its troubleshooting table says to run the machine below 90 F with colder water, and gives a water temperature range of 7 C to 32 C.
Clearance is stated two ways in the same manual. The safety section asks for at least three inches of clearance at the sides and back and says to keep ventilation clear, while the troubleshooting table says the hot-air outlet needs more than 5.9 inches of ventilation distance. Both figures are the maker's own; the manual does not reconcile them.
The manual also says to keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources such as an oven, and to use it indoors only, as a household appliance. It says the appliance must be grounded, and that any extension cord must have a grounding plug and a rating at least equal to the appliance's.
Size and weight figures that do not match
The manual gives the product size as 11.3 by 8.66 by 12.68 inches (287 by 220 by 322 mm), and the listing's bullet and dimensions field repeat it. Silonn's own page lists 12.5 inches wide by 9.9 deep by 14.5 high in one place and 12.83 by 14.88 by 10.12 inches in its specification table.
Weight also varies by source: 17.6 lb (8 kg) net in the manual, 20.5 pounds on the listing and 21.6 lbs on Silonn's page. We cannot tell from the documents which figures include packaging.
The manual's how-to page says to keep fingers out of the ice outlet, and to wait 3 minutes before further operation. The manual gives service.wowowo@gmail.com as its contact and does not print the Silonn name; the SLIM17B model number is what ties it to Silonn's page.
Cleaning and storage
The manual recommends cleaning once a week. It describes a manual clean of both water reservoirs and the exterior, and a 15-minute self-cleaning mode that you start from standby by holding ICE/CLEAN for 5 seconds; excess water is then drained over a sink through the drain plug. Follow the manual's own page for the exact steps and what to use.
The manual's cleaning rules say not to use organic solvents, boiled water, detergent, strong acids or strong alkalis. It also says not to immerse any part of the unit in water, to use only drinking water in the reservoir, and not to use water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality.
For long periods out of use, the manual says to drain the water completely, dry the interior and store it in a well-ventilated place. Silonn's page adds a note that filtered water and regular cleaning help if you have hard water, to limit mineral build-up and clogs.
Troubleshooting notes and warranty
The manual's troubleshooting table covers the ADD WATER and ICE FULL lights. For a red flashing ring it lists a room or water that is too hot, a hot-air outlet without enough ventilation, a blocked pipe and a refrigerant leak, and for leaks it points to the drain plug.
The manual's warranty page says the unit can be replaced or returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase, after which a 1-year warranty from the purchase date covers product replacement. Proof of purchase is required for all claims.
Exclusions listed in the manual include incorrect or inadequate maintenance or care, misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents, shipping damage, buyer's remorse, normal wear and tear, and damage after initial transportation. Silonn's page shows a 1-year warranty and 30-day money back.
