A renewed X110, not a new one
This listing is marked Renewed, and its part number, 010-02900-00-cr, adds a suffix to the 010-02900-00 part that appears on Garmin's Dash Cam product page. Garmin describes the X110 edition as a compact 1080p camera with a 140-degree field of view, a 2.4-inch LCD and a built-in polarizer to cut windshield glare.
The listing's warranty field reads 90 days limited warranty. Garmin's own warranty terms sit in the Important Safety and Product Information guide, which was not read here, so ask the seller who handles claims on a renewed unit before you buy and keep the order details.
No memory card is listed in the box
The listing's box contents are a car mount, a vehicle power cable, a dual-USB power adapter and documentation, with no card named. Garmin's manual says you must install a compatible card to record: microSDHC or microSDXC from 8 to 512GB, Class 10 or faster, formatted FAT32.
The camera can format the card itself from Settings, Camera, Format Card, and the manual asks you to format at least once every six months. The manual says to remove the card only with the camera turned off.
Mounting is semi-permanent
The X110 sticks to the windshield with an adhesive mount that Garmin calls long-term and difficult to remove, so choose the spot first. The manual asks for a location that does not block your view, takes the wiper area into account and avoids tinted glass, then says to clean the glass with water or alcohol and press the mount for 30 seconds.
Garmin gives an installation temperature of 70 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit; below that range, it says to warm the windshield with the defroster first. After mounting, set Camera Placement to left, center or right and choose Normal or Tall vehicle height so the driver alerts work as intended.
Power it from the included adapter
The manual says to use the included vehicle power adapter rather than a car USB port, which may not supply enough power. A data-capable cable in a car USB port can also put the camera into USB mass storage mode, where it cannot record. The manual describes the included cable as power-only.
Recording starts when the camera powers on and loops over the oldest unsaved footage. For recording while parked, Parking Guard can run on the camera's battery or on constant power from Garmin's separately sold Constant Power Cable or parking mode cable; the Record Before Incident option needs external power. Garmin's operating range is -4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
Alerts, voice control and what needs a subscription
Forward collision and lane departure warnings only work above 40 mph, and Garmin says the collision warning may miss vehicles more than 130 feet away or closer than 16 feet. The manual also describes a go alert. Red light and speed camera data is regional and can need a paid subscription.
Saying OK, Garmin followed by Save Video, Record Audio, Stop Audio or Start Travelapse controls the camera hands-free. The Garmin Drive app pairs within about 10 feet; remote Wi-Fi features, cloud Vault storage, remote live view and parking notifications need a paid Vault subscription and a Wi-Fi connection in the car.
Saving clips and privacy settings
When it detects an incident, the camera saves 15 seconds before and after it, and you can save manually with a button or voice. Viewing clips on the camera or phone pauses recording and alerts. Video is stored as H.264 MP4 in separate folders for events, manual saves, parking and Travelapse.
A Promptly Delete option erases unsaved video older than three minutes and all unsaved video at power-off, which also disables Travelapse. The manual reminds you that some places restrict audio and video recording, and audio can be switched off. Clean the lens with a non-scratch cloth, optionally with isopropyl alcohol, and avoid chemical cleaners.
