A two-channel 4K camera with a touch screen and voice control

The F7N Touch, sold by REDTIGER as the F7NT, is a front windshield camera with a 3.18-inch touch screen and a separate 1080P rear camera. The manual lists front recording at 2160P at 30fps, 1440P at 60fps or 1080P at 120fps, or front 2160P or 1440P together with rear 1080P. The listing gives a 170-degree front view and 140 degrees at the rear.

The manual prints a list of English voice commands, so the touch screen is not the only way to operate it, and the listing counts voice control among its main features. Which commands are available is listed in the manual.

What is in the box, and the memory card question

The listing's included components are the camera, 1080P rear camera, a suction-cup mount with built-in GPS, a 128GB card, a 21.3-foot rear cable, five cable clips, the manual and an 11.5-foot power cable with car charger. The manual's own package list includes electrostatic stickers, adhesive and a trim tool, but no memory card. Check the box for the card when it arrives.

Card capacity is stated three ways. The manual's specification table says 32GB to 256GB. The listing's details table says the maximum supported size is 64GB while also listing a 128GB card as included. Rely on the manual's range, and the manual asks you to format the card in the camera once a month and fit it with the gold contacts facing the screen.

Parking mode needs a hardwire kit that is not in the Amazon box

The listing describes a G-sensor parking mode that records on impact and a time-lapse parking mode, and states that parking monitoring requires a separate hardwire kit. The manual's settings menu entry for Parking Monitor simply says to connect the ACC hardwire kit. Without it, the camera runs from the included car charger.

REDTIGER's own site sells the F7NT with a free parking-mode hardwire kit and a 128GB card as official-site benefits; the Amazon listing includes the card but not the kit. If you want parking recording, budget for the kit and for fitting it, and note that the manual says improper installation voids the warranty.

Aperture and card figures differ between listing and manual

The manual gives the front lens as F1.55 and the rear as F2.0. The listing's details table gives a maximum aperture of 1.8. The listing also gives rear frame rates of 30 or 60fps, while the manual's resolution list does not state a rear frame rate. We treat the manual as the more specific source and report both.

The manual gives an operating range of minus 4°F to 158°F and a 5V, 2.5A input. The camera uses a supercapacitor rather than a battery, according to the listing.

Wi-Fi app, GPS and playback on a computer

The camera creates its own Wi-Fi network for the Redtiger app on iOS and Android; the manual gives the default password as 12345678. The listing claims 5.8GHz Wi-Fi at up to 20MB/s. Firmware updates are made over the air through the app, according to the manual.

GPS is built into the suction mount and can stamp speed and position on video. REDTIGER Player for Mac and Windows plays the recordings on a computer. If GPS does not lock, the manual's troubleshooting section covers the steps to try.

Warranty: 18 months, more if bought and registered with REDTIGER

The manual gives an 18-month warranty with free replacement and lifetime technical support, subject to local law, and an extra six months if you register on REDTIGER's warranty form. The listing says 18 months. REDTIGER's product page advertises 18 plus 6 months as an official-site benefit, and its product description mentions 24 months for the Basic set.

REDTIGER's warranty policy words its 18-month dash cam term and the six-month extension as applying to customers who bought from its online store or official platform, and says the warranty covers manufacturer defects, not mistreatment. Ask REDTIGER whether registration applies to an Amazon purchase before relying on the longer term.
