What this listing is

This is Husqvarna's 450 Rancher gas chainsaw, listed with a 20-inch bar under model and part number 970613120. The manual attached to the listing covers two saws, the 445 and the 450 Rancher, and a search of Husqvarna's US site for 970613120 returns that same manual, which ties the listing's number to this model.

Amazon says the box holds the saw and an owner's manual. The manual's product overview also shows a combination wrench and a guide bar cover, and it describes the intended use as forest work such as felling, limbing and cutting. We did not find a current Husqvarna product page for this article number.

Engine, weight and tank sizes from the manual

The manual's technical data give the 450 Rancher a 50.2 cubic centimetre engine producing 2.4 kilowatts, or 3.2 horsepower, at 9,000 rpm under ISO 7293, with an idle speed of 2,500 to 2,700 rpm. The listing's title repeats 50.2 cc and 3.2 hp, so the engine figures agree across both sources.

Weight is where they differ slightly. The manual gives 11.2 pounds (5.1 kilograms), and Amazon's table gives 11.33 pounds; neither says whether the bar and chain are included. The fuel tank holds 0.95 US pint and the chain-oil tank 0.55 US pint, with an automatic oil pump.

Amazon's description calls the 0.55 pint figure a 50:1 oil tank volume, which runs the chain-oil tank together with the engine fuel mix. The manual's technical data list the fuel tank and the chain-oil tank as separate items, so take fuel and oil instructions from the manual rather than the listing's shorthand.

Maintenance and storage burden

The manual sets out a daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedule, including a brake band check. Read the table in the manual itself for which task falls in which interval, and plan time for this beyond the cutting itself.

For storage and transport, the manual says to empty the fuel and chain-oil tanks before transport or long-term storage, and to clean the chain and the bar groove before storing because they can otherwise become rigid or blocked. It also cautions against mixing fuel for more than one month at a time.

The operator's manual contains the safety, starting, kickback and cutting procedures, which we did not read and do not summarise here. Read those chapters in the manual before first use and follow them rather than any summary.

Warranty terms and the fuel-linked extension

Amazon states a two-year manufacturer warranty. Husqvarna's 2026 warranty chart gives two years for consumer or residential use and 90 days for professional use under the row for consumer and residential 100 and 400 series handheld petrol products; the chart names series rather than saws, so confirm the period for your serial number with a dealer.

The listing says buying 96 fluid ounces of Husqvarna pre-mixed fuel with the saw extends the warranty from two years to five. The 2026 warranty document on the listing does not mention that extension, so ask the seller or a Husqvarna dealer how to qualify before relying on it.

What the warranty excludes

The warranty excludes wear parts such as air filters, spark plugs, fuel filters and starter cords, and damage caused by mismatched bar, chain or sprocket pitch or gauge, or by improper filing and chain adjustment. It also excludes stale fuel, E15 or E85 fuel, starting fluids and pressure or steam cleaning; fuel with up to 10 percent ethanol is approved.

Skipping the maintenance the manual prescribes voids the warranty, and continuing to use the saw after a failure is excluded. Service goes through an authorised Husqvarna servicing dealer with proof of purchase showing date, model and serial number, and transport costs are yours. Husqvarna's warranty page adds that registered products still need proof of purchase.
