Which Hypervolt this is, and what Hyperice publishes for it
Amazon lists this as the Hyperice Hypervolt 3 Pro Percussion Massage Gun with heated head and carry case, item model number HV3P001, manufacturer Hyperice, first available March 2026. Hyperice's own support site keeps a section for the Hypervolt 3 Pro containing a specifications article, an operating instructions article, a safety instructions article, a product manual and quick start guide, and an EU declaration of conformity.
Hyperice publishes a stall force, a stroke length, a per-speed frequency table, a rated battery capacity and a charger rating for this model. Every figure on this page comes from those Hypervolt 3 Pro documents or from the listing, and nothing is carried over from any other Hypervolt.
The colour is given as Matte Black and the motor as brushless high-torque. Hyperice's specification article gives the total weight as 2.5 pounds (1.1 kg), and its product page repeats 2.5 pounds. Amazon's details block says 1.5 pounds and gives dimensions of 7.4 x 2.8 x 9.5 inches; Hyperice publishes no dimensions, and neither source explains the weight difference.
The six speeds, published as numbers
Hyperice publishes each speed level with both a frequency and a percussions-per-minute figure. Level 1 is 25 Hz and 1,500 PPM, level 2 is 28 Hz and 1,700 PPM, level 3 is 32 Hz and 1,900 PPM, level 4 is 35 Hz and 2,100 PPM, level 5 is 38 Hz and 2,300 PPM, and level 6 is 42 Hz and 2,500 PPM. The range 1,500 to 2,500 RPM also appears on the product page.
Speeds are selected with a digital speed dial, which Hyperice's operating article calls an encoder dial. There is an inconsistency on the Amazon side: the listing title says Five Speed Control while the listing's own description block says six speeds, and both Hyperice sources say six.
Hyperice also publishes a stall force of 70 pounds and a stroke length of 14 mm, and a sound figure of 51 dB attributed to its QuietGlide technology. No measurement distance or condition is given for that decibel figure in anything we read.
Battery: Hyperice publishes two different runtimes
The specification article says the cordless battery is a rechargeable 18 V lithium-ion pack with approximately a 4-hour battery life, rated at 14.4 V, 4650 mAh and 66.96 Wh. The product page repeats up to 4 hours of battery life, and the Amazon description repeats it again.
The operating instructions article on the same support site says something different: "The average runtime is 2+ hours depending on speed level and pressure applied during use." Neither article explains the gap, and we are not going to guess at one. If runtime is what decides your purchase, ask Hyperice which figure applies at which speed before buying.
Charging is by an 18 V wall charger rated 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz, 0.7 A input and 18.0 V, 1.0 A, 18.0 W output. Hyperice says to fully charge for up to four hours before first use, with the battery either attached or detached, and that the LED band runs red to green as it fills. It says the battery may be recharged at any level and that fully depleting it to the red level is not recommended.
What comes in the box, and the heated head's separate charger
Hyperice's What's included list names five items: the Hypervolt 3 Pro massage gun, five head attachments including the Heated Head Attachment, a USB-C charger for the Heated Head Attachment, an 18 V wall charger for the massage gun, and a premium carry case.
The two chargers are the detail to notice. The operating article says the gun charges by plugging the 18 V charger into the port on the bottom of the battery handle, and the heated attachment has its own USB-C charger, so there are two things to keep charged.
The five attachments are named in the specification article as Heated Head Attachment 3, Flat, Wedge, Fork and Cushion. Attachments pull straight out and push firmly in, and Hyperice says to change them only after the speed setting is off and the head has stopped moving.
Controls, the app, and what TSA approval covers
The gun switches on by pressing and holding the power setting button for half a second, and the battery level shows on an LED band at the base of the handle. Hyperice describes the handle as pill-shaped and slanted. There is a pressure sensor with three LED indicators, which the product page describes as pressure sensor technology to guide your intensity; nothing we read says what each of the three levels corresponds to.
Bluetooth connects the gun to the Hyperice App. Hyperice's operating article says that once you select a routine in the app, HyperSmart will start the device and adjust speed and intensity through the routine. The same article describes switching on and changing speed on the device itself.
On travel, Hyperice's specification article says TSA Approved for carry-on only. The product page and the listing say TSA friendly, without that restriction, and neither source explains the difference in wording.
Care, warranty, and the document to read before first use
Care is simple and the maker states it plainly. Make sure the power is off and the charger is not attached, wipe the device with a damp clean cloth, and store it in a clean, cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Hyperice also says to switch the power off during storage and travel.
The warranty line in Hyperice's specification article is one year, linked to Hyperice's own warranty policy. We did not open that policy document, so we cannot tell you what it excludes, how a claim is handled, or whether purchases from a marketplace seller are treated differently from purchases made directly. Ask Hyperice before relying on it, and keep your proof of purchase.
