What this listing sells
This is Hyperice's Hypervolt Go 2, sold by Hyperice on Amazon in the Hypervolt Go 2 Black style. The listing gives the manufacturer part number as HVG2001 and the model name as Hypervolt Go 2, and the operating instructions attached to the listing are headed Hypervolt Go 2. Hyperice's support site keeps a section for the model with specifications, operating instructions, safety instructions and a declaration of conformity.
Hyperice's specification article gives a total weight of 1.5 lbs (0.68 kg), and the listing and the attached instructions give the same 1.5 lbs. The motor is a brushless high-torque 40 W unit in both the specification article and the listing. The listing gives dimensions of 7.3 by 1.97 by 6.69 inches, a figure that no Hyperice document we read states.
The specification article lists two attachments, bullet and flat, and the attached instructions label two interchangeable head attachments in the parts diagram. Hyperice's article also lists QuietGlide technology, no Bluetooth, and TSA approval for carry-on only, while the listing says TSA approved carry-on.
Three speeds, published two ways
Both documents agree there are three speeds, but not on what they are. Hyperice's specification article gives Level 1 at 36 Hz and 2,200 PPM, Level 2 at 45 Hz and 2,750 PPM, and Level 3 at 53 Hz and 3,200 PPM.
The operating instructions attached to this listing give Level 1 at 2000 and 33 Hz, Level 2 at 2400 and 40 Hz, and Level 3 at 2800 and 47 Hz. Neither document explains the difference, and we will not guess which applies to a unit sold today. If the speed range decides the purchase, ask Hyperice which table is current.
Speeds are changed with a single power and speed button, and three speed indicator lights show the setting. Hyperice says attachments should only be changed once the device is off and the head has stopped moving; they pull straight out and push firmly back in.
Charging: a USB-A cable, and no brick in the box
The listing is emphatic about charging. It says the Hypervolt Go 2 comes with a 5V USB-A to USB-C charging cable, that the contents do not include a USB-A 5V charging brick, that a 5V brick is needed to charge it, and that it is not compatible with USB-C to USB-C cables. Hyperice's specification article says the same for the new Black and Arctic Gray versions: a USB-A to USB-C cable, brick not included.
The same specification article also lists a Hyperice wall charger rated 110-240V, 50/60Hz, 0.7A and 18.0 VW, and Hyperice's operating article describes charging by connecting the DC end of the supplied charger to the port on the bottom of the handle and plugging the charger into a wall outlet. The attached instructions describe a USB-C cord into a USB-A adapter. The specification article ties the USB-A cable to the new Black and Arctic Gray versions, and this listing sells the Black style with that cable.
Both Hyperice documents say to charge fully for up to four hours before first use, and the attached instructions give the charging port as 5V 2.5A. The listing says the device will not operate while connected to the charging cable, and Hyperice's operating article says the same about the charger.
Runtime: 2+ hours or about 3
Hyperice's specification article gives a rechargeable 18V lithium-ion battery with approximately a 3-hour battery life, and the listing says a 3-hour battery life. Hyperice's operating article and the attached operating instructions both say the average runtime is 2+ hours, depending on the speed level and the pressure applied.
Neither document explains the difference. The attached instructions give the battery as 2500mAh, a different quantity from the 18V figure in the specification article, so the two cannot be compared directly. The listing's product details give a 3-hour charging time, while both Hyperice documents say up to four hours for the first charge.
An LED band shows the charge from red to green. Hyperice says the battery can be recharged at any level, that fully running it down to the red level is not recommended, and that the device should be turned off when not in use and during storage and travel.
Pressure sensor and colour: two more differences
Hyperice's specification article lists a built-in pressure sensor indicated by three LED lights. The parts diagram in the operating instructions attached to this listing labels two attachments, three speed indicators, the power and speed button, the handle, the LED battery band and the charging port, and does not label a pressure sensor.
The specification article gives the colour as Matte White. This listing sells the Hypervolt Go 2 Black style, and the specification article's charging line refers to new Black and Arctic Gray versions. Check the colour and charging arrangement of the offer you select.
The attached instructions give an operating temperature of 32°F to 113°F (0°C to 40°C) and a storage temperature of -4°F to 158°F (-20°C to 60°C). For cleaning, Hyperice says to switch the device off, detach the charger, wipe it with a damp clean cloth and store it somewhere clean, cool and out of direct sunlight.
Warranty and the safety document to read first
Hyperice's specification article gives a 1-Year warranty under the Hyperice Warranty Policy, and the attached instructions say the product is covered by a limited warranty from Hyperice and point to hyperice.com/warranty for the terms in your country. The listing's warranty field says to see the manufacturer's website. We did not open that policy, so this page cannot tell you what it covers.
Hyperice publishes a separate Safety Instructions article for this model, and the attached instructions open with safety warnings. We have not opened the article or summarised either document. Read both in full before first use, and follow them rather than anything a seller's listing says about how to use the device.
The attached instructions also include a note for Mexico saying the device must only be used with the charger unit provided. Buy from a seller you can identify, keep the proof of purchase, and check the condition of the offer you select.
