This one charges, it does not empty itself
The offer on this ASIN is the Roomba 105 Vac, iRobot part number Q312020, and Amazon's included-components field lists exactly two things: a docking station and a filter. That is a charging dock. There is no dust bag, no self-emptying base and no bags to buy, so you lift the bin out and tip it into the bin yourself after most cleans.
This matters because iRobot sells a near-identical package, item Q352020, that pairs the same robot with an AutoEmpty dock rated for up to 75 days between bag changes. When you search for reviews or specifications of the Roomba 105 Vac you will mostly land on that version. Check the item number and the box contents of the offer in front of you before you assume self-emptying is included.
It is also vacuum-only. iRobot's own comparison table lists the 105 Vac as having one cleaning mode, vac-only. There is no mop, no water tank and no pad.
The suction claim is a comparison, not a measurement
Both the listing and iRobot's own page lead with 70x more power-lifting suction. The footnote on both says the comparison is against Roomba 600 series robots, an older and much cheaper generation. It is not a pascal figure, and no source we read states one, so there is no way to compare it directly with a robot from another brand that quotes Pa.
What iRobot does describe concretely is the 3-Stage Cleaning System: a multi-surface bristle brush, an edge-sweeping brush for corners and edges, and suction. The listing adds four levels of suction power and a settable number of cleaning passes, so the strong setting is a choice you make per room rather than the default.
Spot cleaning is described in the listing as repeatedly cleaning one area for up to five minutes, which is the practical answer to a spill in one place rather than running a whole-home job.
Size, weight and what fits under the sofa
iRobot's specifications give the robot as 13.23 by 13.19 by 4.09 inches and 6.24 pounds. Amazon's table says 4.1 by 13.2 by 13.2 inches and 6.15 pounds, so the two agree closely on size and differ by about a tenth of a pound on weight. The 4.09-inch height is the figure to measure against your lowest furniture; it is on the taller side for a low-profile robot because the LiDAR turret sits on top.
The battery is described by iRobot as LFP type lithium-ion. Neither iRobot's page nor the listing gives a capacity, so runtime cannot be estimated from battery size; use the maker's runtime claim with that in mind.
Runtime is claimed only by Amazon, which lists Battery Life 200 minutes in its details table. No iRobot source we read gives a runtime for this model, and the listing does not say which suction level the figure applies to, so treat it as an unverified listing figure. Both sources do agree on the behaviour that matters: when the battery runs low the robot docks, recharges and resumes the same job.
Consumables and the parts iRobot sells for it
One extra filter is in the box, and iRobot's accessories listing for the Roomba 100 Vacuum Series names the ongoing parts by the models they fit: a filter three-pack for Roomba 105 and Essential series robots, a multi-surface brush for Roomba 100 (1000) series combo and vac robots, an edge-sweeping brush three-pack covering the 100 and Essential series among others, a replenishment kit for the same series, and a battery listed for Roomba 104, 105, 106, 108, 1010 and 1020 robots.
That battery being sold as a normal accessory is good news for the machine's usable life, because it means a tired pack is a purchase rather than a write-off. The listing's app bullet also mentions checking filter life in the Roomba Home App, so the robot tracks its own consumable usage.
Neither iRobot's page nor the listing gives replacement intervals in days or months for the filter and brushes on this model, and we did not open iRobot's owner's guide, so we cannot give you a schedule. Plan on the app's filter-life indicator until you have the printed guide in hand.
Network rules, the wrong manual, and warranty
The Wi-Fi requirement is stated plainly in the listing and is stricter than many people expect: the robot uses a 2.4 GHz network for setup and for operation. Your phone can go back to 5 GHz after setup, but the robot stays on 2.4 GHz, so a router that hides or merges the 2.4 GHz band can make setup awkward. Control is through the Roomba Home App, the robot's own buttons, or Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant-enabled devices.
Be careful with the document Amazon attaches. The PDF labelled User Manual on this listing is the Owner's Guide for the Roomba 205 DustCompactor Vac Combo robot, a different machine with a compacting bin, a camera and, on combo versions, a water tank and mop pad.
