The manual gives a range of 37 to 40 miles, measured with a full charge, a 154-pound load, 77 degrees Fahrenheit, a flat road with no wind and a steady 9 miles per hour. iScooter's parameters page rounds that to 40 miles, and the listing bullet says 30 to 40 miles. The four riding modes top out at 9, 15, 21 and 28 miles per hour.
The test was run at the speed of the slowest mode with a 154-pound rider, so faster riding will shorten it. The manual also says not to use the scooter below 14 degrees Fahrenheit. iScooter rates the climb at 25 percent.
330 pounds is the structure, not the recommendation
The listing and iScooter's page give a maximum rider weight of 330 pounds. The manual adds a footnote: the structure is designed to support 330 pounds, and a load of 70 percent of that, about 231 pounds, is the manual's recommended riding load. Heavier riders should read that note before relying on the headline figure.
The scooter weighs about 60 pounds. Unfolded it measures 49.2 by 23.6 by 48.8 inches; folded, iScooter gives 50.8 by 9.5 by 18.1 inches because the handlebars fold down. The front wheel is not pre-installed, and the manual walks through fitting it. iScooter's page gives a minimum rider age of 14.
IPX4 and a manual that asks for good weather
iScooter's parameters page rates the iX5S IPX4. The manual does not print an IP rating, but its safety list says to ride in good weather, not to ride on slippery roads, and not to put the scooter in water deeper than 1.2 inches. It also says the warranty is invalid if the battery or charger is deformed or has water ingress.
The listing markets the iX5S for off-road rides and rugged paths. Settings and warranty terms
The display settings let you choose units, an auto shutdown timer from 1 to 99 minutes (10 by default), zero or non-zero start and cruise control, and include a factory reset. The manual lists error indications for motor, throttle, controller, brake, display and battery faults, to help narrow a fault before contacting support.
Warranty wording differs by source.
